This photo was taken as part of the replicate assignment but it was my favorite maximum depth photo I took. I really loved the color that came out in the building and the darker feel of the lighting. I spent a lot of time with the shadows, contrast, and whites and blacks to bring out more detail and make it feel more dramatic.
This photo was taken on my photography class tonight. We were working on depth of field and apertures.
One minute I would think Eureka, I understand! And the next minute I would completely confused.
I think this photography malarkey is two steps forward, one step back.
An attempt at maximum depth of field - the sun was already behind the houses as it was close to sunset, so I used a shutter speed of 1/250 and aperture of f/5.6 to allow for sufficient exposure.
My hopes were to allow for the viewer to see all of the cars down the street, along with the houses, which is why I framed it horizontally.
