The vertical lines on the wings of this species are an example of a disruptive pattern that helps keep the butterfly safe from birds. The only species in it’s entire genus, the Banded Orange Butterfly has several nicknames such as the Orange Tiger and Banded Orange Heliconian. Banded Orange Butterflies have been spotted in the wild sipping the tears of crocodiles for their salt.

Most of my photos were taken in her presence. She's the reason I go to places I normally wouldn't go to, so she deserves a photo from time to time. ;) She doesn't really like playing a model, but sometimes she will sit still for few seconds for me.

I love her to pieces. :)

Repeat flowering Agapanthus for up to 6 months of the year.

The small window of flowering for an Agapanthus plant often hinders its popularity among landscape professionals. This has changed with Ozbreed’s repeat mass flowering Agapanthus varieties.

These gorgeous plants produce masses of bright and colourful flowers in spring and summer, as well as sporadically throughout the year, including in mild winters .

Agapanthus varieties are designed to be tough enough to brave the Australian landscape, with good disease resistance, and drought and frost tolerance.

First of the Snowdrops, looks like colour is on it's way :o)

Ich war mir nicht ganz sicher, welches der beiden Bilder mir besser gefällt, hier also die zweite Variante.

I wasn't quite shure which of the two shot I liked best, so here you've got the second version too.
