The goal of this image was to capture some frozen water drops against moving water. This was helped by the stillness of the stone walls.

London Road is a great place for photography and the tree lined avenue creates depth of colour and soft vegetation. New passenger islands have been created which help in capturing better bus pictures that are not so near to the kerb. And going towards Meadowbank the summer sunshine favours picture taking in the afternoons whilst morning shots are better when going towards Leith Walk.
A lively variety of stock can be seen here too with Darts and Eclipses, Tridents and Geminis, tour operator buses of all sorts and some old Royales by other companies, notably First. The advancement of Lothian routes now working on madder red vehicles in London Road continues and the 4 and 5 are great additions..
Some of the new Gemini2 B9's are seemingly being checked at various locations and here is a service van which has just done some checking on number 951 a few minutes earlier. 960 here didn't have to stop and buses can build up considerable speed along this avenue - best to use the 'sport' mode on the camera functions if in doubt!
And so ends my set of pictures and stories of Morningside Maisie. 951 to 960 are now mee-owing and purring all over Edinburgh and Service 5 is a proud addition to the Lothian madderisation programme.
If you'd like to see the full Maisie fleet on their first days in service then look in at my site Morningside Maisie for the numerical tour.
