Macro Mondays: My Closest
This is yet another "fève", from my mother's treasure box. It is probably the finest and loveliest of her collection.
Arches National Park, Utah. Delicate Arch is a 65-foot-tall (20 m) freestanding natural arch located in Arches National Park near Moab, Utah, USA. It is the most widely recognized landmark in Arches National Park
To walk a delicate path,
along a transient moment in time,
realization that but a soft breath,
delivers the unfortunate fateful blow,
igniting the autumn fire within,
sealing ones fate along that ever delicate path.

Delicate Arch can be viewed from upper viewing point, which is about a half mile hike up a hill. Well worth the climb, especially if you're unable to make it up to Delicate Arch itself. The arch is one of the main and most popular of the attractions at this park. The rangers allow you to walk onto the slickrock as long as you do not walk on non-rock surfaces. Sun down time, ended onto a plateau where the arch appeared almost like a vision, the deep cliffs under my foot…
One of the best nights of this beautiful trip to Utah. The delicate arch is a magic place, we got there at 1 am and wait until sunrise.

The Eastern Amberwing (Perithemis tenera) is a species of dragonfly in family Libellulidae. It is very small, reaching a total length of no more than 25 mm. The males have orange or amber wings. Both genders have a red pterostigma.
The common name refers to its eastern range, although this dragonfly does extend westward well into the central part of the United States.
The scientific name, tenera, means delicate and alludes to its small size.
I found this one and its prey in my "Boat Slip" in Polk County, Florida.
Due diversissimi organismi mettono in evidenza, ad una osservazione ravvicinata, la loro seducente delicatezza. Quello vegetale è un fiore della banale e diffusissima gramigna (Elytrigia repens), i cui stami sembrano di zucchero. Quello animale è una damigella (Ischnura elegans) che ha scelto la spiga fiorale della gramigna come posatoio. Ambedue esprimono una bellezza speciale, che si coniuga e si somma, come sempre avviene in Natura ..... ..
