The flight schedule at Zhanjiang airport on a night flights were being delayed and cancelled, including ours to Shanghai. A slow start for Ling's long awaited journey to Canada.

This is the earliest picture I have seen of my dad's parents. They were married on Sep 8, 1915. The picture show's Loney's dad, B.B. DeLay, Leona DeLay Thill, Aunt Belle Stockton, Uncle De Stockton and Adolph C. Thill with Nellie DeLay behind the kids. Location must be the homestead at 9th Point on the Missouri River near Lismas, Montana. (Under fort Peck Lake now.)

... nearly 24-hour delay, 'supposedly' due to French air-traffic controllers's strike - but there were easyjet flights taking off to Paris, Geneva, Bordeaux, Bristol and Luton ... only our flight kept getting delayed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And, OF COURSE, they do not want to pay me compensation for having had to buy a separate flight to London to ensure I got to my son's wedding on time - which I managed to do with hours to spare!!!
Flight cancelled due to snow in Chicago. Rumored to
be booked on the 8.10, but with snow in Chicago who's
to say we'll get off the ground? That said, all on the
ground sources report nothing more than light flurries.
Reserved a one-way rental car just in case, but after
waking at 4am I'm not sure a 5 hr drive home through
the snow is a stellar plan.
This snowman, btw? Entirely made of balloons --
even the coal and carrot facial features.
Ah the miracle that is man.
