21 yrs ago I installed the carsonite post trails markers and label for all the foot trails in the Yankee Springs Recreation Area. I was surprised to see so may in such good shape.

this iris looks like a deep sea creature to me.

the day after the full moon in scorpio, i had a dream my backyard was an ocean. it much resembled the ocean planet in the movie interstellar. i asked someone how deep the water was, and they told me it was 40 feet deep, which reminded me of the great flood in the bible as i was waking up. idk what any of this means symbolically but i'll be considering it.

Deep in thought.

He stood there alone his only companion was the sea.

It was as if he was sharing his silent thoughts with the waves as they rolled in and perhaps in is mind the receding waves would wash away his thoughts.

A portrait of one of this Summers Banded Demoiselles. I have quite a few of these potential stacks kicking around on my hard drive, so thought I'd pick one to play around with. This was a 23 image handheld focus stack, I used ISO 400, F/8 aperture and a 1/160 shutter speed, I can't wait for Spring to come again, at least the days are going to start getting longer now :o)

Hope everyone has a great run up to Christmas ;o)

Thank you in advance for your views, comments, and faves. They are much appreciated!

I contemplated getting up at midnight to drive 5 hour to photograph Bond Falls in Michigan. When I arrived this was the scene that waited for me. I doubt I will question my motives in the future!
