I took this photo of my little sister's hands. She's a highly competitive gymnast and therefore she spends a lot of time swinging on bars. The result is what you see in this photo, and this is on a good day; sometimes she'll come home with bloody hands, the skin rubbed raw from constant friction against the bars as she does giant after giant, trying to perfect her routine.
As with the other 2 photos, this one was also a 2 step process. In Photoshop I made the photo black and white, blurred the background, and made the hands themselves a little bit lighter. I then saved the photo and imported it into Lightroom. There I drastically amped up the clarity and brought our the shadows a little bit more. The editing of this photo all in all was very limited in comparison with the other 2.
The blisters in this photo, especially on the left hand (the hand to your right), create a serious sense of someone who's dedication is beyond anything because she is willing to go through the constant pain that those, what are called rips, bring her. And everyone knows what a blister feels like, so in seeing this photo it'll be very relatable for a lot of people.
