Inspired by the "Thrifty Knitters" group on Ravelry, I've been shopping thrift stores for sweaters I can unravel for their yarn. This is my first such project at three stages. Underneath is the front of a v-neck lambswool sweater I picked up at Salvation Army for . In the middle is the yarn from one sleeve, frogged onto a homemade "niddy-noddy" of PVC pipe. On the right is a skein of yarn ready to be washed and hung up to get the kinks out. If all goes well, I should get several pairs of nice wool socks out of the deal!
The city as a reference for an abstract aproach. The photos were made with a Holga camera and then printed in cyanotype. The result is a pictorial and abstract view of some details of old constructions.
The entire building is slowly being re-done, but things started in the back, this is 2 different days, this weekend we did most of the clean-up work, I put in 6 hours to the cause, but others did much much much more.
