Working on fixing the shaping of Tom's chest

deconstruction in the foreground, reconstruction in the midground and the hulking Hilton Tower in the background

Big badass robot with car in hand. The chest armour can be pulled back as well as the visor, so the pilot can get out of this BAMF after a hard day of going bers- I mean, DECONSTRUCTION.

For the past two weeks, or so, I've been helping with the deconstruction of The Jellyfish Theatre. This has involved a lot more lifting and unscrewing and general manual labor than I'm used to (not to mention a large number of bruises), but I've met a bunch of interesting and creative folks in the process.

I'm also now a pallet snob. After sorting through about a hundred of them, I feel pretty confident with my judgement.

By the way, the next time you see a bunch of construction workers standing around and looking at something, don't assume they're loafing off. They're probably trying to decide the best way to tackle a complicated problem. Also, steel-toed shoes = awesome.

Broken glass, preemptive deconstruction. Coming anyway.

The Cook and Co. Bank still stands tall and proud (at least what’s left of it), even after more than 100 years since its construction.

This is a piece of what’s currently left of the Robert Sauer buildings which were completed in 1969 and where much of our mathematics and computer science faculties was located until 2002. The buildings have been decomposed carefully during the last few months to remove all the asbestos inside. The remaining concrete and steel is now being torn down.

This photo was somehow inspired by Helmut the Night Photographer who is really great at taking photos that involve buildings and blue sky.

Goodbye Adam's Mark Hotel. (Hello, Target.)

Her hair has only been washed & conditioned & combed. You can easily comb it back into the original style!

Mine arrived yesterday and I must say that I am very happy with her.

Her hair is very stiff (like concrete! ;) but the style is very nice and the gel used is good- you cannot see marks from a hair net, it does not flock and there is none of it on her face.

While some fellow collectors find the fashion and especially the shoes and jewelry in combination with the fluffy dress too edgy, I must say I love it. I mean, hey, who really wants another Sunday dress with flower print for their dolls?? One of the reasons why I nevr got a Tonner doll is that their ensembles are mostly way too conservative for me.

Bow flooring. This was the low point of the boat, and this wood was apparently often in standing water due to the leaks. It had completely deteriorated.

This camera served me well for a long time. It shot it's last photo a few years ago.
