In Shanghai, November 2019, Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) is called out of retirement when a fellow Blade Runner, Holden (Morgan Paull) is shot administering a Voight-Kampff test to Leon (Brion James), an escaped replicant. A reluctant Deckard is brought to his old boss Bryant (M. Emmet Walsh), who informs him that the recent escape of Nexus-6 replicants is the worst yet. He orders Deckard to eliminate the four replicants, a process referred to as "retirement". Deckard agrees to help after Bryant makes thinly-veiled threats – if Deckard is not a cop, then he is 'little people'...

Blade Runner - the movie based on Philip K Dick's book "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep". searching for signs of replicants - the replicants seem to have the red eyes in the dark when they get emotional / distressed. these red lights remind me of the artificial, electric lights of the city. man-made lights. the digital clock display, the neon lights of the city streets

Completed the sculpt work on my first version of Roy Batty - Blade Runner - 1:18 scale. Like the Deckard figure posted earlier, had to go back and make some adjustments to the mid-torso cut, shoulders and elbows. Aves FIXIT is a brilliant product but is unforgiving once cured!
Completed the sculpt of the coat and gave the figure a little more in the height department. More work on Batty to come - I imagine a few more versions of him I would like to do...#roybatty #bladerunner #replicant #rutgerhauer

If you've ever played one of the Diablo series of video games, there's no doubt you've heard this man's voice. It's Michael Gough, the voice actor who portrays Deckard Cain, and created one of the most iconic phrases of video game history, "stay awhile, and listen!" Had the chance to meet him at one of Blizzard's voice actor panels at BlizzCon 2013 -- along with many of the other Diablo 3 voice actors, such as Jennifer Hale and even James Hong (from such films as Big Trouble in Little China and Kung Fu Panda!)
Got their autographs too, which was a real highlight for me at this year's event :-)

Syd Mead, 1981
Syd Mead's concept art established the the look of Ridley Scott's sci-fi classic Blade Runner (1982).
This gouache sets the scene for the hero Deckard's visit to Chinatown. With its dense, neon-lit streets, it presents ground-level Los Angeles as a seedy underworld. Mead also designed some of the vehicles in the film, including the Armadillo truck in the foreground.
