"You're a cop. I had your job once. I was good at."
So starting with the gun, it's a modified BrickArms HC-1 pistol.
That I cut up sanded & glue different parts on & sculpted on to procreate and painted.
The hair is a Mutt Williams hairpiece. All I did was add an extra hair bang that I sculpted out of procreating & painted it.
The head is LEGO Han Solo head that I made to look older.
The jacket is a CapeMadness trench coat that I cut to size an added pockets & painted.
Everything else I painted.
So let me know what you think?
I built Hachiroku's Spinner in Studio, then took the bits I liked the most, notibly the front wheel mandibles and the rear bumper and general shaping. My version uses the the new Speed Champions chassis to make it a two-seater. Unfortunately it's still quite low, and Deckard had to be blonde to fit.

At the beginning of the 50s Isaac Asimov, a writer and biochemist, began to publish the novels about robots, famous for the enunciation of the three laws of robotics:
1 A robot can’t harm a human being nor can he allow damage to a human being due to his failure to intervene.
2 A robot must obey the orders given by humans, provided that such orders do not contravene the First Law.
3 A robot must protect its existence, provided that this self-defense does not conflict with the First or the Second Law.
The Laws were born thanks to the fruitful discussions between Asimov and John W. Campbell, friend and curator of Astounding Science Fiction.
Asimov was of the opinion that if a robot was well designed, it could not present any risk, if obviously it was not used improperly. (Wikipedia)
The Androids Hunter (Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?) By Philip K. Dick is the 1968 novel inspired Ridley Scott to make the film Blade Runner, starring Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Sean Young, Edward James Olmos and Daryl Hannah.
The feature film is set in a dystopian Los Angeles in 2019; technology has allowed the creation of robotic beings similar to humans, called "replicants", used as slaves in extra-world colonies, with intellectual abilities and physical strength that are extremely superior to men, but with a limited life span of 4 years.
The Replicants fleeing or returning illegally to Earth are hunted and "retired from service", ie physically removed, by special agents called Blade Runner. The plot revolves around a group of androids recently escaped and hidden in Los Angeles, and the policeman Rick Deckard, now out of service but accepting a last mission to hunt them down.
Memorable the monologue of Roy Batty (Rutger Hauer) addressed to Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford)
«I've seen things you people would not believe,
attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion,
I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gates.
All those moments will be lost in time,
like tears in rain.
Time to die. »
Roy is remembering his participation in unique events and regrets that those memories will vanish with him ... the gentle evocation of memories, experiences and passions that have guided Roy's short life underline his humanity, his piety and compassion shown to Deckard a moment before dying, an act that morally raises Roy above the commercial institutions that would like to see him dead ... the film seems to suggest that the replicant, able to see himself in the eyes of the other, is a man, with his fears, his passions, his emotions. (Wikipedia)
"Recent scientific studies have allowed the creation of increasingly improved robots and replicators ... in some research institutes a program has already been launched that will lead to self-learning ...
Further developments are foreseen in the sphere of consciousness, of the awareness of the ego, in the sphere of the ability to understand and experience emotions, in the capacity to dream.
This photo is the transposition into an image of the dream made by an android to which it was first described, only with words, a sunset on the sea ... "
or maybe that's just what I dreamed...
« I've seen things you people wouldn't believe,
attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion,
I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gates.
All those moments will be lost in time,
like tears in rain.
Time to die.
solo a parole,
un tramonto sul mare ... "
... o forse
è solo quello che io ho sognato ...
p.s. credo che un giorno la terra sarà popolata solo da loro, sopravvisuti all'uomo

Heavily inspired by Deckard's gun and the Ruger Hawkeye pistol.

The LEGO diorama "Police Spinner Takeoff" from "BLADE RUNNER" was fully lit up with LEDs.
Seven patrol lights installed on the top of the Police Spinner incorporate two microchip LED lights each, which blink at different times to give the appearance of rotating lights.
By using 1.6mm x 0.8mm chip LED lights and ultra-thin cables, I was able to incorporate 38 lights by simply sandwiching them between parts without cutting them (with very small gaps).
A bundle of cables runs from the right rear tire area through a gap in the smoke and under the base.
In addition to the Police Spinner, even the VIDPHON, Parking Meters and lanterns were lit up. Also, the stoves in the stalls were flickering.
The title is from the my favorite scene at the end of the movie Blade Runner. A monologue by Rutger Hauer, in whole it goes like this:
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate.
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears...in...rain.
Time to die.

I got sideswiped when I learned that director Ridley Scott said that Deckard is not human but a replicant. A replicant is an engineered being, created for strength and endurance in extreme environments of space. Rick Deckard, played by Harrison Ford has been hired to dispose of some troublesome replicants that have hitched a ride back to earth.
For those of you who know the movie, do you feel Rick Deckard is a replicant or human? Obviously I feel he is human. Why would they create a replicant without superior strength or skills. And in the scene above Hauer says "you people" which indicates that the person he's talking to, Deckard, is human.

Sometimes, when you just want to forget, when you're looking in another direction to change the thinking process, there's always something to remind you some elementary truths. Even in the subway.
edit: this is a crappy shot, but I was in urge to capture this before next stop, regardless of the technical conditions...
A commissioned scene similar to my other one. This one is a bit more movie accurate and includes the White Dragon restaurant that Deckard eats at in the beginning on the film as well as a taller building that he can hang from like in the final sequence of the film.
Ha, just as I was getting ready to upload the pics of my improved Spinner, I got a mail from the Cuusoo team informing me that my Spinner project has been deleted. Apparently it "refers to a brand or licensed property that contains content or themes that do not fit the LEGO Group's standards for appropriate content".
True, I admit, but it was worth a shot. So thank you all who gave my Spinner your support and hope you like these pictures.
And as much as I understand TLC's need to clean the house, I can't help but wonder just how many great ideas for a new fire truck will come of it? They want new and original ideas for existing non-licensed themes, yet people bombard them with zombies and master chiefs. Yes, cool city creations would be nice, but how likely are they to reach 10K?
Hey, how about a flying police car ; )

Here's Decked from Blade Runner. I grew up with this movie and it will always have a special place in my heart... no mater how truly terrible it is! The figure, however, is amazing!
Finally at the release of Blade Runner 2049 and t has raving reviews! Very excited for this movie, as Dennis Villenue is an amazing director and Blade Runner is one of my favorite movies of all time. Here I made old Deckard and K from the new movie. Everything here is painted by me except for Harrison Ford's face. Enjoy and please don't put any spoilers below!

Like everyone else, I'll agree 2016 had some pretty shitty times. A lot of famous celebrities passed away like Alan Rickman, Prince, Muhammad Ali, Kenny Baker, Gene Wilder, and David Bowie but of course the one that hit me the hardest was Carrie Fisher. What a shit way to end off the year, right? There's are a lot of bad events entangled in 2016, but I don't want to talk about those so I can talk about all the good 2016 brought:
Rogue One was pretty cool.
Joking aside, I think 2016 was great in terms of my progress as a customizer, and the customizing community in general. There's lots of improvement in the community with both skill and maturity, and I'm always grateful to be involved with awesome people like you all. Some notable good events this year are my graduation from High School/starting college, BrickFair (as always, I love actually being able to hang out with you all), Rogue One, and a badass season premiere for TWD.
So for this year's picture, I have all of my figures I made in 2016, which are actually all just Star Wars and The Walking Dead. I'm fine with this since I fuckin love Star Wars and TWD is pretty awesome usually. I did also make Captain America, Azrael, and Rick Deckard this year but they aren't in the photo since they were commissions.
Like last year, I'll do some Top 5's to share my favorite things from this year.
Top 5 Favorite Customs I made:
1. Darth Vader
2. K-2SO
3. Cassian Andor
4. Negan
5. Daryl Dixon
Top 5 Favorite LEGO Sets (that I purchased):
1. Krennic's Shuttle
2. U-Wing
3. A-Wing & Vader's TIE Advanced
4. Resistance X-Wing
5. First Order Battle Pack
Not much variation here, I'm trying to cut back on buying sets.
Top 5 Favorite Movies from 2016:
1. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
2. Deadpool
3. Civil War
4. Zootopia
5. Doctor Strange (I guess)
I really missed out on movies this year, so I have some catching up to do. Some that I really want to watch are Hateful Eight, Arrival, Hacksaw Ridge, Jungle Book, The Nice Guys, X-Men Apocalypse, Star Trek: Beyond, The Accountant, and Sully.
For 2017, I have some dope stuff planned such as Friends (hell yes), Saving Private Ryan/Band of Brothers, ESB/RotJ, Episode 8, and a bunch more so hopefully I can get to all of that next year.
Let me know in the comments which of my figures is your favorite from 2016, I'd love to hear your thoughts! :)
I don't think I forgot anything, so thank you all for such a great year on YouTube/Flickr/Instagram and I wish you all a Happy New Year!
~Aaron
Last year I was invited to exhibit at the Imagine Film Festival in Amsterdam. Unfortunately the event could not take place, but I still took the chance to recreate some vehicles from iconic movies. This is one of them: The Spinner from the original Blade Runner from 1982.
The Spinner has been tackled many many times by unbelievably talented LEGO builders and there are some fantastic versions that inspired parts of the model. The front end and the proportions are largely influenced by Calin's version, while the overall colour scheme is inspired by Tyler's model.
One aspect I payed particularly close attention to was designing the back in a way that would allow the yellow and red stripes to be completely brick-built. The "44" and the small yellow warning stripes are achieved via decals, the rest is entirely made with LEGO pieces.
I hope you like this new interpretation!

You saw the Lucius Fox earlier, well here's the closest thing we'll have to Commissioner Gordon. We'll learn more about Miles soon, but what I'll tell you is that his surname and partial design comes from the protagonist of Blade Runner. The coat is just some weird paper I found at Hobby Lobby. It's also a different color than what was in the comic since I needed brown arms.
Finally finished my Blade Runner minifigure after so long! Thanks to Keith and Julie Nelson for the "M2019" pistol from the movie! Figure is fully painted by me (except the face). Hope you enjoy!

Cyberpunk is one of my favourite themes to build in, being such a versatile field in which creativity is key. This build took about three weeks to fully make and finish, and is one of my favourite builds of all. Here are photos showcasing:
- The overall build
- A market stall using old fabric
- A police drone and side-on view of the street
- A perspective shot from between the market stall and tree in the left.

Thanks for stopping by! Leave a comment, I love to hear your thoughts on my work, and give it a fave if you like what you see :)
P.S. - Let me know when you spot Deckard.
Hey everyone!
So, i could talk about my innactivity blah blah but I'd rather just show you what I can manage to produce in the few spare time I have.
I've fell in love with Blade Runner since the first time I saw it and with the upcoming Blade Runner sequel that is coming out in a couple of months, I'm gathering the hype and I'm trying to make a couple of custom figures.
Neander Wallace is a pretty simple figure compared to some of the work I've done, I used a slicked back hair where I sanded the pointy bit, added length on the back and also added a beard from a CMF caveman using green stuff.
His head is the one I used for my Jordan Catalano custom figure (which is also a character portrayed by Jared Leto) but I added some wrinkles and cheekbones as well as painted his eyebrows in a dark brown tone and his eyes fully white as it seems that his character is blind. On the left side of his neck, I added the light he has on the trailer on his neck.
The torso was based on the trailer and the POP figure and he seems to wear a kimono which I made of a LEGO vikings flag. I also gave him white cuffs so the figure wouldn't look too boring.
The legs are painted in the same tone as the kimono in a dark grey and I painted hos sandals on his feet
Thank you all, I was inspired by Aaron's Rick Deckard (LegoMatic9) to create this figure and a few more to come.

Macro Mondays 15/01/18 Theme My Favourite Novel (Fiction).
It was January 2021, and Rick Deckard had a license to kill. Somewhere among the hordes of humans out there, lurked several rogue androids. Deckard's assignment--find them and then..."retire" them. Trouble was, the androids all looked exactly like humans, and they didn't want to be found!
I watched the film Blade Runner long before I read the book and although most of the main characters are the same the story line is quite different and is sometimes hard to follow leaving you to make your own thoughts about what is really going on.
For this set up I used a Star wars figure and a plastic sheep which was supported with a needle which was removed in PS.I then overlaid it with the binary back ground to give it an electric sheep look : )
