My wife and I are campfire victims of the Nov. 8 2018 fire that destroyed most of the town of Paradise in the foothills of the Sierra's in Northern California. Where we of course lost everything we manager to accumulate over a nearly 60 year marriage. With no insurance we will probably not see any of that ever again. Not to mention losing many thousands of dollars worth of camera and photography equipment we've had accumulated over a life time. This is now the only way we have of making a living and earning back some of the money we've invested in photography over the years, while hoping to start all over again.

Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so they might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!

Deciding to get a little further back than the image I posted yesterday to use the granite rocks as a little more foreground interest. I was drawn to the early sun reflections of the rocks and the warm tones. I did make a small mistake though can you spot it?

Sometimes I decide to go down a narrow winding country lane just to see what's at the bottom, and that was how I came across Terras Pill Bridge, which is about one mile north of Looe. The Grade II-listed bridge crosses the East Looe River and leads to a level crossing over the Looe Valley railway line, which follows the line of the river from Looe to the outskirts of Liskeard.

The bridge dates from around 1825, and it was around this time that a canal was dug alongside the river, starting just to the south of this bridge, to connect Looe to Liskeard. It was originally used to carry sea-sand and lime to help improve the acid soil of the farmers' fields. (You'll see numerous lime kilns in this part of the country, and as Cornwall has no limestone of its own it needed to be brought in by sea.) Then coming back the other way from about 1843 it would bring tin and copper ore from the Caradon Hill area of Bodmin Moor by way of the Liskeard & Caradon mineral railway. That railway line ended at Moorswater just outside Liskeard, as did the canal.

The canal company decided to build the railway (as an extension of the other line) alongside their canal in around 1860, and this of course eventually made the canal itself redundant. These days the railway line brings visitors to Looe from Liskeard in a single diesel-powered coach, though when I first came here in the mid-50s a steam engine (think Thomas!) used to haul two carriages. It was how I arrived in Looe with my parents for my first holiday in Cornwall.

So Im creating a portfolio of work for college which will include photos of some of my figures. I want to bring at least 4 actual figs with me too, but need help deciding which ones;

Before deciding on doing a more direct comparison between her (then) 2 existing dolls I decided to take a make-up picture like Lagoona & they would've been uploaded side by side. Once I went & compare/contrasted both Abbey however this picture was left in limbo. Still, I like it quite a bit!

Both Michelle & this picture had alt edits of their edited looks but I ended up choosing this version over the other because hers was the only one of the picture I’d been using that could wear this feature while still looking attractive. Not to mention, it reminds me of her own existing tinsel! ;3

Hi everyone,

As you may know colby and I held a fig off in which you guys determine the winner of round 1 : the suicide squad.

It 's all about sausages at these Christmas markets in Germany. But the offerings from the local vendors looked almost all the same. So I browsed around before deciding for one to try as my daily quota on greasy food was quite limited. This particular nurnberger joint in Marienplatz looked appealing to me. At least the staff dressed up more professionally that their other neighboring vendors. And this guy in front of me had shown me what he got. So I decided to sample the beef one. Other than tasting a little salty, it 's not too bad. The sausage was firm and chewy. The bun was soft enough, not too hard but couldn't rival the sourdough from San Francisco. Honestly, when it comes to bakery, the French know better. I would give this one a 4 star in Google review.

Couldn't decide on a theme, went with many!

That's exactly what this car is. The Grohsbach Eigenbau is the sole product of Alfred Grahsbach who decided to build his own microcar. It was far from a toy and included various patents, like four wheeled steering and a motorbike type set of handlebars that could be used to control the car. With a top speed of 60mph and a 248cc engine that developed 12hp it proved to be his daily use vehicle into the 1960's.

Built in 1953 at his home in Tamm, West Germany.

The car in the background is a very early post war car built for invalids. I understand that only one leg was required to drive it so it proved popular with amputees.

The Mystic Tragedies Of Theodhatres:

Antares - The Antagonism Of The Impossible by Daniel Arrhakis (2020)

Two young women Anthea and Thalia fall in love in spite of the moral values that reign in their families.

Despite being very different, they have something in common, the pleasure of observing the night sky and especially their favorite star Antares, the red star in the Constellation of Scorpio.

But there is something else that unites them, the non-conformity of their destinies and the impossibility of their dreams. However, one day the relationship is discovered and they are prohibited from seeing each other.

Disconcerted, they devise a plan to flee the two of them and on a stormy night, taking advantage of the confusion, they flee and take refuge in an old abandoned theater.

There they discover, along with the props, various clothes of characters and decide to disguise themselves, one as a bishop and the other as an ancient Greek warrior.

For a time they lived out their fantasies experiencing several personages and stories until they decide to rehabilitate the old theater and stage a play to get money.

Meanwhile, their families were looking for them throughout the region, tightening their grip on that fleeting and forbidden freedom.

But on the night of the premiere, to great amazement and fear their families appear, but do not recognize them, after all they were unrecognized in their roles.

In the play "Antares" a Bishop who had lost his faith and an Amazon wounded and disenchanted with the battle, finds themselves in the ruins of an old temple under a starry sky.

In the dialogues the revolt and the bitterness of a life they did not want, the loneliness of those who had nowhere to go and the incomprehension of a world that they no longer understood.

After all, it was their story, a story that ended in that old theater, in the last act of their own tragedy.

In the end the two characters say goodbye to life sharing a poisoned chalice while looking at Antares, their red star in the sky.

While the audience applauds, Anthea and Thália join hands looking at each other for the last time, no one would separate them anymore ... they would be together forever in the constellation of scorpion!

Gotta have a laugh.

If you have followed my garden you may have witnessed what started out as a nearly white garden has become more and more colourful . . . and then, this rudbeckia arrived in a bucket with a friend who came for a meal soon after lockdown was lifted. They are moving from a large house in Hackney to a flat on the bank of the Thames with a slightly smaller footprint than this house They are savvy, both of them architects and I feel sure if anyone can relocate and downsize in such style, they will do it. However, back to the rudbeckia . . . there are problems when you will only have two balconies and no garden . . . this, she annouced, is a third of my rudbeckia . . . I've given one piece to my neighbour up the road, one to my younger daughter and the other . . . is yours. The original plant belonged to my grandfather! Yikes! What people don't seem to realise is that being a garden designer doesn't mean plants will grow in your garden . . . they have to decide they like it. Well, I said, tentatively - I can't promise that it won't die, but I will try my best. We'll see. Glad it's not an echinacea, because they don't seem to like me or my gardens, not sure which (and I love them!) and glad it's not a kniphofia because I have one that is just leaf that is now under sentence of being dug out . . .

3 UP 40Ns power a manifest in South Saint Paul. Very nice to see this just by chance after taking a wrong turn and deciding to find out what the train had for power.

Yesterday morning while sat on the bed with the wife deciding what to do and talking about her sister, she all of a sudden went all awkward and said.

I know it won't bother you but ,,,,,,,,I have told my sister about helen!!!!!"

OK where the hell did that come from? She has been adamant that it never gets to her sister and now she tells her. Makes you wonder what next or it does in my head. Actually i don't think i have anything to worry about, Besides i am sure some of you would take this old bird on lol,

Anyway it seems the sister inlaw in good with it and my brother in law would love to have a chat about it because it fascinates him . That almost confirms my thoughts that he might well be one of us. So lets see how this one pans out.

Think i've worn this before its becoming my autumn look as it just works so well with this horrid weather we are having,

Hey if you guys do decide to purchase, please leave a review and suggestions. Thank you.

Deciding to call it a day

During last Fridays #OlympusUK / #Photojabber Oxford photowalk I snuck into the entrance to All Souls College to grab this shot. I can't decide if the bird adds to the shot or not.......

From Wikipedia : "All Souls College (official name: College of the souls of all the faithful departed) is a constituent college of the University of Oxford in England.

Unique to All Souls, all of its members automatically become fellows (i.e. full members of the College's governing body). It has no undergraduate members, but each year recent graduate and postgraduate students at Oxford are eligible to apply for examination fellowships through a competitive examination (once described as "the hardest exam in the world") and, for the several shortlisted after the examinations, an interview.

All Souls is one of the wealthiest colleges in Oxford, with a financial endowment of £286.4 million (2014). However, since the college's principal source of revenue is its endowment, it only ranks 19th among Oxford colleges in total income. All Souls is a registered charity under English law.

The college is located on the north side of the High Street adjoining Radcliffe Square to the west. To the east is The Queen's College with Hertford College to the north. "

SO many places to eat, so little time!

Some days I wake up and decide I want to stay dreaming instead of dealing with the realities of the world.

My squad and I had narrowly escaped the behemoth of droid by simply running from the B3. We were able to demobilize the droid with a combination of well timed teamwork and some extra boom. Wedging a thermal detonator inside it’s left leg we stopped it from chasing us and left it laying there in the corridor, immobilized but alive.

After that we decide to keep going deeper, in sesrch of our real objective, the trandoshan’s supposed leader, Sask. We were told he was a petty scientist, most likely hiding away in his lab.

“CRZZCH...crzzch...”

The static of blocked comms penetrated all our helmets. Stopping to adjust a sensor on my comms helmet I was able to get a clearer signal.

“Redwing and company, return to the— CRRZCH... come back up. We need support, droids have reinforc—CRRZCH. The scientist is gone, he was replaced, CRZZCH three jedi dead. Return at once—“

The static of the comms fizzled out and left us to our own devices, each clone turned to face me. Using their posture and probably expressions under those helmets to ask me what to do next. I didn’t know at that moment, we had to return, Jester’s orders. But 3 jedi dead? Someone had to pay for that.

“CT-9856 and CT-7723 you’re with me, the rest of you had back to command for a status report. Relay as much data as you can to me. I want to know what’s going on out there.”

“If you’re not going to command, what are you doing?” Titan asked me, with a hint of weariness in his voice.

“I’m going to find out what killed those jedi.”

“Yessir” Titan snapped back and signaled for his troops to follow him. Turning and leaving the small dark corridor they were in.

The two clones I had selected walk forward from the retreating group cautiously and somewhat weary of my presence. They were disturbed and frightened by my choice to use them to search these wretched halls.

Before Titan left the corridor, I could see him speaking to a clone that had just entered the far end, Captain Pharaoh took iff his helmet along with the rest of the clones in that area and looked in my direction.

“Pirunir sur’haaise, tal’galar vod.” Mando’a for ‘Make their eyes water, spill blood my brother.’ Titan and Pharaoh recited in unison. Placing their helmets back on and saluting myself and the two clones.

“Vode’ an brothers”

We turned in unison, heading towards both our undecided dooms. One of us most likely meeting ours sooner.

We solemnly trudged through the inner workings of labs, mechanical bays, a few mine shafts before finding a more active part of the facility. Lights were fully functioning as well as doors that didn’t need slicing. An aura of dread settled over me, this was the place.

As we stepped through a final set of blast doors we were greeted by a massive sprawling courtyard of sorts. Barren of the normal greens and bright colors in regal courtyards, replaced by the glow and hidden beauty of dark translucent fungi. Coating the walls and the floor in an iridescent blue glow. Accompanied by draping clothes and capes. Crisscrossing across the large room. The colors were reminiscent of a street market or a backwater main drag. It was genuinely beautiful.

But in all this beauty there was still violence and death, abominations and horrors. Clones and jedi alike strewn across the floor, surrounded by blood and refuse. These were the jedi Jester had spoke of, but it was more than three, at least a half dozen jedi lay motionless in the courtyard. Settled between rock and plant, coated in blood and death.

Across the grand room was a throne, that slowly swiveled to reveal a massive, disgusting mass of gears, metal and flesh. A horror of a creature, brandishing his large claws, sharpening them with a small blade, scraping away caked blood and guts.

“Mhmmm, more clonessss, kill them.” The large beast’s mouth opened to reveal a ling tongue and rows of teeth, the order barely caught my attention as I was focused on the visuals of the new threat.

Two guards awoke from behind us, shooting one of my troopers while the other had an unreadied blaster. Turning from the behemoth I threw one of my knifes directly into the lizard’s scaly neck. While the second guard was peppered in lazer bolts by the other clone.

As we turned back towards the larger, disfigured trandoshan, we readied our selves. Just in time for a spear to come flying towards us, impaling CT-7723 and sending him flying back into another pile of clone bodies.

The large half lizard half droid rose from his throne. I drew my vibronato and readied myself. Tossing my cumbersome helmet to the floor.

“For Tal’akaata, blood must be spilled.” I murmured.

The lizard seemed ready to lecture me, as if he hadn’t deterred me enough of his company. I charged towards the beast, lunging forward with my blade and slashing the fleshy, writhing muscles of it’s leg. The lizard easily brushed my aside and threw me against the side of the room. Crashing into a shelf of weapons.

A blaster rifle clattered to the floor before me, picking it up, I aimed between the lizards large yellow eyes. One fully white and glazed over, most likely a failed part of his transformation.

“Who are you!?” I yelled at the lizard, seeking to catch my breath and waste time.

“I am a sssscientist, an inventor, a thinker. I am the Republic’ssss worst enemy, it’sss downfall, it’sss doom! Call me sssSask, because now I’m an unstoppable force, with the body of demon, intellect of a god and the killer instinctssss of a trandoshan, I am your Republic’ssss worst enemy.” The creature’s single eye expanded, showing how crazed he was, licking and smacking his massive jaws together, preparing for either myself or his future rampage.

“You on the other hand clone, you are nothing. Worthlessss trash, thrown together by the Kaminoansss to collect a profit. They don’t care who wins this war, as long as you cost creditssss, they’re in businessSss.”

“You know nothing lizard! The jedi value us, without us there would be no one to protect the republic.”

“Oh you sSsilly clone, the jedi think the sssame. Using you as weaponssss, as toolsSs, who are you clone? If not another tool for the jedi?

My trigger squeezed tighter on the trigger and released a volley of shots toward the lizards head, but before they found skin, a metal plate greeted them instead. The plasma diffusing just as it had on the B3.

As the trandoshan came closer, I could do nothing but freeze. Frozen by the pure horror the being projected, scared to move, the lizard clutched my torso, lifting me into the air.

As he pressed his claws into my face, puncturing my scars, he screamed out in another tormenting volley of questions.

“You are nothing clone! Who are you? Who do you fight for for!?”

As his claws dug deeper into my face I grabbed one of my vibroknifes and stabbed it into the fleshy, writhing muscles of his exposed arm. Releasing the claws tension enough that I could fall to the ground. Backing up I found my vibrojato, picking up the blade I brandished it, wiping it through my kama.

“I fight for Democracy, for my brothers....

FOR THE REPUBLIC!!!”

The blade left my hand and flew towards the beast’s glazed, white eye. Lodging itself deep within that murky white, which was replaced by a deep dark red. The lizard buckled and his knees fell to the floor. Careening towards my lifeless body, it crushed me and sent the blade deeper into whatever brain was left in that beast. The noise and chaos settled in the courtyard, leaving only a pile, a clone and a mutated trandoshan in it’s wake.
