I think the enamels have made this look a bit scruffy, so I'll try acrylic washes + glazes on the second test.
I've uploaded a set of 12 photos of my Nurgle Death Guard squad, with my Finecast Nurgle Deamon Prince included for completion, Ive a slightly differant base theme going on from my usual "Red Dessert" with half a View to having a seperate Nurgle Force as Nurgle is one of my Fav Chaos Gods. ..... This was the most complex model I have painted but it was also the most fun to do.
If I get the chance to paint him again, I would paint him differently.
Photographed outdoors with a sheet of paper for that light box effect. This miniature has just been primed, I need to start painting the details.

La joven “Euphrati Keeler” fue una mujer expedicionaria y fotógrafa de la gran cruzada galáctica del Emperador, acompañando a los ejércitos imperiales para registrar los importantes eventos de las legiones “Astartes” la joven Keeler fue reconocida por su audacia para adentrarse en los campos de batalla y obtener las mejores imágenes de la victoria; En sus arriesgadas aventuras tuvo un encuentro paranormal con un demonio que asesino a sus compañeros pero ella consiguió sobrevivir por la rápida acción de los Astartes del Emperador. (La mayoría de humanos que servían al Emperador no creían en demonios pero lo que había presenciado “Keeler” la convirtió en creyente al Dios-Emperador) ✨
Los intentos de los demonios por arrebatarle la vida a “Euphrati Keeler” continuaron manifestándose con más intensidad hasta el momento que la joven “Keeler” descubrió su habilidad psíquica que canalizado con su fe en el Emperador provocaba que los demonios fueran desterrados del plano real, la sorpréndete noticia fue tomada por los miembros del “Lectitio Divinitatus” como una señal de la profeta del Emperador la recién convertida primera mujer santa Imperial.
Cuando el señor dela Guerra “Horus” traicionó a su propio padre el Emperador, la santa “Euphrati Keeler” despertó aterrorizada minutos antes del bombardeo de “La Atrocidad de Isstvan III”; Percibiendo que su vida estaba en peligro consiguió escapar a bordo de la fragata “Eisenstein” junto al capitán “Nathaniel Garro” y los pocos leales de la guardia que advertiría de la traición de Horus al imperio. (En medio de la batalla que se desato para escapar de Horus, el Capitán Garro fue herido pero curado por la Santa que anulaba los poderes demoniacos, en ese momento el caballero creyó en su santidad.)
Durante los 7 años de guerra entre traidores y Leales la joven Santa “Euphrati Keeler” se convirtió en un faro de esperanza para los humanos leales al Dios-Emperador y objetivo prioritario para los asesinos demoniacos de Horus; Destinada a convertirse en una santa mártir recibió el juramento de protección del mismo Capitán “Nathaniel Garro” quien había decidido protegerla con su propia vida y mantenerla a salvo mientras Horus y sus legiones avanzaban sobre el asedio de la sagrada Terra. 🌎
Al final el Capitan “Garro” muere cumpliendo su promesa mientras su joven amiga “Euphrati Keeler” escapa al interior del palacio Imperial con la resistencia, el único remordimiento del capitan “Garro” antes de morir fue no haber pasado más tiempo con Keeler.
El último acto conocido de la Santa “Euphrati Keeler” fue resistir junto a sus tropas en el interior del palacio Imperial hasta la aparición del Emperador.
Por último la frase de la Santa Imperial:
“El Emperador de la Humanidad es la Luz y el Camino, y todas Sus acciones son en beneficio de la humanidad, que es Su pueblo. El Emperador es Dios y Dios es el Emperador, así se enseña en la Lectitio Divinitatus, y sobre todas las cosas, el Emperador protegerá... "

Added edge highlights with white ink, painted in some more shading with Snakebite Leather and Skeleton Horde, and washed all the rivets with Sepia.
Also painted up the cape to match the hood, using Evil Suns Scarlet soft highlights and Cadian Fleshtone edges, then glazed down with Flesh Tearers Red and a mix of that and the Contrast black.
I loved to paint this guy and look forward to doing so again soon, so much fun little details to get lost in. i painted him for the Fang competition in 2010, didnt even place but then the other entries were really good (did get my revenge the year after though). i wanted to keep it simple with him so i choose a pre-heresy colourscheme and then just went crazy with the colours within the white. i wanted to differentiate the skin on his leg but not go to far away from the armour so i kept the basic colours but added warmth which was lacking in the armour, to make it look alive.
Sorcerers are granted gifts by their god, which further enhance their psychic powers. They are also often selfish madmen, believing themselves superior to all others and on a mighty quest for power and knowledge to increase their mental fortitude and develop new ways of using their powers. Often the visions given to Sorcerers are unattainable, subsequently driving them to extremes in their desire to achieve these goals.
Ok so I bought this FW sorcerer from ebay for a tenner as his right hand was missing so I replaced it with a bikers gautlet which is a similar pose to the original. I painted him the same time as Typhus so they are similarly themed. And ive added another sorcerer to my quota but this one is dedicated to the glory of grandfather Nurgle lol. Hope you like him.
Converted using Chaos Space Marine Bike, Loyalist Space Marine Plasma Pistol and Power First; Power Fist converted into lightening claw using Combat Blades from Chaos Space Marines boxes, small strip of plastic card and wire, model also used trophy rack from tank accessory sprue and metal Chaos Lord Power Pack, other bits included are Daemonic heads from the tank accessory sprue, Nurgle Icon from Chaos Space Marine kit and bony spikes from Chaos Lord in Terminator kit.

I didn't like the rotors much but loved the idea of the model, so here it is with some bonus Maggoth Lord bits.
I bought this Plaguemarine from ebay as it had been a while since I had painted any Nurgle marines and I wanted to get my eye in again before tackling Typhus and the FW sorcerer, He was very old and only cost £2 and the metal had oxidized a little which was perfect for crusty Nurglesk armour, the helmet spike had also snapped off so I GS a new one on, and as its a Nurgle model you can get away with less than perfect sculpting lol. it was also an opportunity to add a new marine and weapon option to my Plaguemarine squad,
Both models were primed Alclad Grey then sprayed from above with Tamiya Racing White and from below with Clear Orange.
The RH model has had an all-over application of MIG Brown Wash removed with a cotton bud.
I think the glossy surface is probably too glossy for the enamel, which has settled in weird ways, but I don't know if I like these yet or not. Nurgle is supposed to be a bit messy...
