Once upon a time there was a boy who loved a girl, and her laughter was a question he wanted to spend his whole life answering.
I thought Dear John was so bad that a The Room-style Tommy Wiseau remake is in order. Check out my suggested cast at brian.indrelunas.com/2010/02/you-are-tearing-me-apart-sav...

This is part of a project that I have just started. The aim is to capture the emotions of subjects as the read various letters. In this one I asked Dean to imagine he was reading a Dear John.
I'm influenced by Gregory Crewdson and the Twilight series - I admit - but I am English and wanted to capture the feel of something wicked this way comes but in a gothic-style.

There's nothing particularly remarkable about this photo. It's a young man, in the army. He's blonde and blue-eyed, living in March 1975, a month before the fall of Saigon. He poses as if he doesn't know what to do with his hands.
It was what he wrote on the back of the photo that made me want to buy it (for 50 cents): "Mar 75. In room near locker, in states. Love had no meaning to me. Then I met you. Love You, John."
Heartbreaking. I guess it didn't work out.
One of the photographs I found (and purchased for 50 cents each) at SMUT (So Many Unique Treasures), a small store off of East Burnside in Portland. There were two old suitcases full of these photos and each contained hundreds.
Dear John,
Last night I couldn't find the words to tell you how I feel. I hope this letter will serve to explain everything.
I'm sorry. I must leave you.
After three long years I have fallen out of love with you. I no longer crave your embrace, or feel I can remain faithful to you and continue to serve you the way I have.
We have had so many ups, so many downs. I never thought it would come to this, but I must move on.
Do not think poorly of me, I am not leaving you for another man. There is no one else.
But I cannot continue to exist as a shadow of myself in a relationship where you do not treat me with respect, love, and affection. Our relationship has grown cold and distant and I no longer respect you, or trust you. I no longer feel you can give me the things I need.
I will understand if you no longer wish to remain friends.
Know this: I did all I could to keep the flame alive. But I am only one person.
No longer yours,
Bronwen.

My friend bought me a ticket to see Taylor Swift's Speak Now concert in Buffalo, New York for my birthday. Taylor's a great performer and her singing was actually very good. I am very happy to have gone. Now to face my midterm tomorrow...

44(365) Nebulas make every photo better. Really. No, actually I'm using nebulas to hide the fact that I haven't taken a good photo for three days. I'll try harder tomorrow.
Today my mom, Abrielle, and myself finished Marble Hornets. It wasn't nearly as frightening in the day time, but it's still a bit unnerving.
Also, I went shopping with my mom and sister today. It was quite fun :) For once, I barely had to work at all. Yippeekayyay.
These books also have no significance. They were just laying on my floor.
