Looking NW at the tallest peak in North America with it's South and North summits visible.
~53% of climbers reach the top. The mountain has claimed the lives of more than 100 mountaineers. Denali is considered one of the top 10 most dangerous mountains to climb.
While not a climbing casualty a family tragedy happened on Denali in 1985. A dear cousin died while on a hunting trip when the small plane he was in slammed into Denali under foggy conditions. Not sure what the pilot was thinking.......Miss you Ray! Denali creates it's own weather patterns and as many of us know, only ~ 30% of visitors get the pleasure of seeing it out in it's fully glory. Most magnificent mountain I've ever seen.
On to more positive thoughts, have a terrific Tuesday!
The spotted owlet (Athene brama) is a small owl which breeds in tropical Asia from mainland India to Southeast Asia. A common resident of open habitats including farmland and human habitation, it has adapted to living in cities. They roost in small groups in the hollows of trees or in cavities in rocks or buildings (Wiki)

Solanum dulcamara, also known as Bittersweet Nightshade, is from the same family as the potato plant. In the Middle Ages it was believed that the plant could protect cattle from the evil eye...thus it was hung around the necks of cows. Actually this plant is toxic to mammals, but is so vibrant that I unwittingly plucked some from flowers from the vine during a walk through our neighborhood. My new rule: pick, photograph and discard...and remember to wash my hands. Beauty can be deadly.

Tropical Pitcher Plant, Nepenthes sp. (Nepenthaceae) at Oxford Botanical Garden
"The trap contains a fluid of the plant's own production, which may be watery or more viscous, and is used to drown the prey. This fluid contains viscoelastic biopolymers that may be crucial to the retention of insects within the traps of many species. The trapping efficiency of this fluid remains high, even when significantly diluted by water, as inevitably happens in wet conditions.
The lower part of the trap contains glands which absorb nutrients from captured prey. Along the upper inside part of the trap is a slick, waxy coating which makes the escape of its prey nearly impossible. Surrounding the entrance to the trap is a structure called the peristome (the "lip"), which is slippery and often quite colorful, attracting prey, but offering an unsure footing." (Wikipedia)

Solanum dulcamara

Height:Up to 6' (Up to 2 m)
Family:Solanaceae
Berries:Green turning red - very poisonous!
Woody Nightshade
Woody Nightshade is the most common of the Nightshade family. It scrambles through hedges and shrubs, entwining the branches.
The flowers are clusters of purple flowers, each with five petals and a golden cone (anthers) in the centre of each. The flowers are about 15 mm across.
The flowers are followed by glossy, oval berries which start green, turning to yellow and red when ripe. The berries are very poisonous.
This plant is also a source of a drug used for skin diseases and chest problems.
This Great Grey Owl can't be heard in flight...
He flew about one meter above our heads and there was no sound...!
An amazing experience....
