Test run in progress. Only 3 of 4 12V modules seem to work... The Kangoo requires a whopping 60A@12V peak. I have settled for 48A since i do not use the servo pump at all.

After detaching the old cabling and removing the cover; Visible from left to right: 5V @ 60A, 2x 12V @ 12A and 1x 5V @12A

The Cerebot MC7 provides four half-bridge circuits that are rated for 24V at up to 5A. Each of these half-bridge circuits is connected to the dsPIC A/D converter to measure voltage and current for closed loop feedback control. These half-bridges can be used to control two brushed DC motors, two bi-polar stepper motors, one brushless DC motor, one uni-polar stepper motor. In addition, the board can be used to implement controllers for switched DC-DC converters.

ELECTRONICA, Munich, Germany, November 9, 2010 – VPT, Inc., a HEICO company (NYSE:HEI-A) (NYSE:HEI), unveiled its latest point of load (POL) DC-DC converter today, the DVPL0503S. This new converter joins VPT’s growing line of POL DC-DC converters that deliver critical reliability performance and efficiency in the distributed power architectures of avionics, military, and space systems.

The new 3A DVPL DC-DC POL converter can be used alone or in conjunction with the DVHE 50W DC-DC converter as part of VPT’s High Efficiency, Reliability Optimized (HERO) Power System. The DVPL 3A POL converter is a non-isolated, synchronous, buck regulated converter that steps down the voltage at the point of end use. Its tiny size and light weight save board space, weight, and expense, making it an improved solution over the use of multiple isolated DC-DC converters to power individual loads in an electronics system.
