Last week the California Department of Public Health issued guidance on face coverings to further reduce the spread of COVID-19.
I've got bandanas and washable masks on order, but I had to leave the house on Friday to get groceries. This was my best effort at a face covering made from handkerchieves.
Of course this is no substitute for maintaining "social distance," not touching my face, touching other things as little as possible, and washing, washing, washing my hands.

I made an Arduino compatible board last night. Holtek's step-up DCDC converter generates 5v from one AAA battery. Good for stand alone projects.

Tested it before heading bush by boiling some water in our old 490watt egg poacher and boiler.
Worked well, the fans did not even come on… While the egg cooker was on, the house battery read 11.6v and down to 12.1v afterwards.
A couple of days later in the sun, it read 12.8volts, while the next night it was reading 12.3v...
The install was too tricky for me…
These are the instructions from the iTECHWORLD install site..
1. Remove the negative power cable from the inverter.
Not there, it is just out of the box!!
2. Connect the battery charger to the battery bank and switch on the charger
What battery charger?
3. Put the inverter switch to the ON position then carefully connect the negative power cable to the inverter ….
What about the positive cable!
(NOTE THIS MAY CREATE A LARGE SPARK, THIS IS NORMAL AS IT IS CHARGING THE CAPACITORS IN THE INVERTER).
4. Check to see if the inverter now turns on and is operational, if not, disconnect then reconnect the negative inverter power cable again while the charger is still connected.
It won’t come on without the positive cable,, Magic!
5. Switch off and remove the battery charger. What battery charger?
PLEASE NOTE: iTechworld recommends that you have your iTechworld Pure Sine Wave Inverter installed by a qualified technician. iTechworld does not take

I am so into Robyn at the moment and I listened to this song when I was taking these pictures- and it just seemed to match Lilith's attitude so well! ;)
I am very glad to have with me: Wild at heart Lilith (my first Lilith!) and the most amazing gown by em'lia couture. This is a very special gown to me because em'lia made it for the DCDC (which she won!)- I remember loving this gown from seeing it first at the contest, and reading the story about the design, and the fabric, on her blog.
I admired em'lias work in this contest and it really gave me a new idea of where the doll hobby "can be going". Not long after that, I did my first commission with her and the rest is history ;) And now I have a small piece of that story at home t put on my dolls and admire! ;)

The microcontroller is responsable for keeping time, displaying it, and controlling the DCDC unit that converts the supply voltage(7V) to 160 V DC.
Tubes: 4x ZM1336
Microcontroller: ATMega8 @ 8Mhz
Drivers: KM155
The power supply boards (MCU in centre and DCDC converters around) regulate 12 separate channels, each with a programmable voltage, current limits, and telemetry. Not shown are the charger boards soldered to the battery holders, which charge and balance the 2x 18650 LiPo cells.
