I could stay awake just to hear you breathing
Watch you smile while you are sleeping
While youre far away dreaming
I could spend my life in this sweet surrender
I could stay lost in this moment forever
Every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure
Dont want to close my eyes
I dont want to fall asleep
Cause Id miss you baby
And I dont want to miss a thing
Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream will never do
Id still miss you baby
And I dont want to miss a thing
Lying close to you feeling your heart beating
And Im wondering what youre dreaming
Wondering if its me youre seeing
Then I kiss your eyes
And thank God were together
I just want to stay with you in this moment forever
Forever and ever
Dont want to close my eyes
I dont want to fall asleep
Cause Id miss you baby
And I dont want to miss a thing
Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream will never do
Id still miss you baby
And I dont want to miss a thing
I dont want to miss one smile
I dont want to miss one kiss
I just want to be with you
Right here with you, just like this
I just want to hold you close
Feel your heart so close to mine
And just stay here in this moment
For all the rest of time

“The mai tai got its name when two Polynesian alcoholics got in a fight over some neckwear.”
― George Carlin, Brain Droppings
I wasn't planning this shot, mostly because I had no plan at all. I think I thought of somewhere interesting and new to go first thing in the morning, and spent hours trying to remember it when I promptly forgot. Even as I got in the car at lunchtime, I couldn't remember, so I drove here by default. The car may as well be on autopilot to the River Gelt, but this proved it actually can get there with no input from me.
Just upstream from here is a pool with a cliff on one side. There's a waterfall (surprise!) and I thought it might make a nice shot. The problem was I couldn't get across the river to get to it. I used to come here when I was a teenager and we'd jump off the cliffs into the water, that's how I know it is there. There wasn't much chance of that today with the cold numbing my bones as I stood pondering on what to do.
It is funny, it doesn't look deep, but it seems that at every possible crossing point, there's one bit that would be over your wellies. Its funny, I was talking about idioms yesterday, and I began to think that 'The Grass Isn't Always Greener' was quite appropriate - as I tried to cross at one point, only to spot another further downstream that looked better, and in fact turned out to be just as bad (a process repeated several times).
So, I perched very awkwardly and took this shot, stitching two frames together. In fact, the word 'perched' is too dignified. I was squatting. Let's just say, anyone passing by who spotted me would have assumed I was a bear in the woods.
Day67 I used my son, Parker, as inspiration. Tried to capture a portrait that showed his love of music and struggle that exists to make a buck in the industry. I like to think that God gifted me with some artistic talent in photography. If you multiplied my talent by a thousand and converted it to music, you would be able to have some type of a description as to how gifted my son is in music. He's home from college now (Humboldt, go Jacks!) and it's nice to have a constant splash of live music as he tinkers with all of the instruments he is gifted in playing. My favorite is his piano skills.
We are having some beautiful weather lately. It's getting warmer and the snow is starting to melt away. I have tulips in the front of my house and the snow is off of them and they are starting to sprout through the soil .... spring is on it's way!

Thank you all so much for all of your comments, faves and views, I appreciate each and every one =)
Oops! forgot to post this one! (and I was wondering why my 365 set was missing a photo).
Just a hand close up on this day as I was a bit out low on time and energy, but I like it so no complaints from me today ;)
Today I had a great time out shooting with fellow photographer Anthony Johnson aka Narratographer. We met up at Washington Square Park and ended up down at Ground Zero. That place still brings back such vivid memories. We grabbed a bite at Shake Shack by the World Financial Center which is where I shot today's image. I really like this shot because of the lines and the shadows. I always love hanging with other photogs. We get into some good geekie, techie talk, as well as real life stuff behind and in front of the lens. Day67/365 #project365 - Lines and Shadows
When I get nervous, anxious, I have this nervous tic of rubbing the sides of my fingers together. Don’t know why. Don’t know when or how I exactly picked up the habit. Usually it is just w/ one hand.
Now if I’m really stressed, it is both hands together.
The source? Compounded debt. It causes me anxiety. It keeps me up at night. It pains me knowing that we are generating more money than last year, yet it feels like we have less. The debt itself would be manageable, if not for all the finance charges & fees upon fees. Last year’s recession hurt, & we’re paying for it now.
Gotta deal. Come up w/ a plan. Deal. Communicate.
Just when I took the shot, the girl on the right happened to throw a snow ball at her friend that's out of the frame on the left.. I was too focused on the guys shooting hoops, and didn't realize how lucky I got until I saw the preview on the LCD..!!!
Thanks and Good Night.

I still only have these Joy-Con . . .
Even though I boxed-up my others on Feb 6, due to an error with the shipping agent, they were only picked-up TODAY to be delivered to Nintendo for repair.
My eldest middle names are Mary Helen after her Great Granny - my uncles used to call her Hairy Melon growing up and my little miss has inherited the nickname Melon from this!
Beautiful picture of them together when she visited us for an early Mothers day meal.
Tomorrow the middle of our three daughters turns 14. Special day of course for her (and us :)) Had to buy some presents today and wrap them up. Perfect subject for an image don't you think?

I didn't take a picture yesterday... I was feeling kind of blue. But that is life, right? Some days the to-do list needs to get ignored.
Yet another visit to the doctor this morning. Anna just had strep throat a couple of weeks ago. She came down with a cold over the weekend that turned into an earache. Luckily we got in to see the doc before her ear got infected so some ear drops ought to do the trick. She's such a trooper these days at the pediatrician's office. We've been seeing Dr. G since Jenny was a baby and he still has the same nurses and staff. He is wonderful!!! I can so vividly remember him visiting me at the hospital after Dominic was born. Since we didn't know what was causing Anna's delays (at the time I got pregnant with Dominic, Anna had not had her first seizure yet and she wasn't yet diagnosed with autism), I was worried about Dominic and the possibility of problems with him. Dr. G was so reassuring and said our sweet boy had no signs of hypotonia at birth. I was so grateful that he would take the time to visit me... those first few days I was able to relax and just enjoy my new baby.
Here's to Dr. G!
Thats exactly what I will be sure NOT to do this week.
Tomorrow starts my grand adventure into the world of being 20.
No lil Q for 5 whole days.
This makes me incredilbly anxious and sad.
But also, very...excited and care free :)
I know I am going to cry when she leaves...
But I am excited to spend time with friends.
Possibly for one last time.

Bubbles. She could annoy the hell out of me, but I loved that damn dog. She snotted and snored and she intentionally played dumb, but she was a good dog. (she was Lyndsey's). Generally, other than this photo, 2008 pretty much sucked. 2009 needs to get better. Wayy better. Maybe some clubs and booze need to get in the mix. ;)
GRRRRRRR.
Today we've got our NEW trimester three schedules. I completely ADORE my classes. From US History, Math, Criminal Justice, Life's Transitions, Humanities, English and Open Period. But let me fast forward. I highly dislike the people in my classes. People are so rude and disrespectful when others are trying SO hard to do good and learn. As for classes that are worst with people it is a flat out tie between US History and English. I know people in there, but there is no one there I can mutually call a "friend".
I seriously can't wait until I can get a iPod so I can drown out the chatter boxes whom have no respect. It angers me that schools/teachers do NOT do more for limiting of the chatter. At least, I'd not detest it as much if people talked in a "INSIDE VOICE". So people, when other people are trying or hoping on learning, please be respectful.
