While it was taken on Monday, I forgot to post it that day. In any case here's my version of Bench Monday or Tuesday.
Day 67/365: 2015
The weekly theme is selective colouring.
I took the parasol out with me in the hope of finding somewhere interesting to photograph it but ended up with this fence. Not sure I'll manage to keep the theme up as I now have RSI from re-colouring! ;) It's quite time consuming too, a great theme though so I'll do my best.
Oh dear, I have just realised that to fit the theme the selective colour was meant to be done in camera, sorry!

It's been raining the past couple of days, so it's a bit too wet and cold to be doing outdoor photos.
Our Daily Challenge - Silhouette
67:365
It's been a long long week and I thought I knew the principal of silhouette, I just couldn't quite nail it. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr . . . . . . . . . . . but at least its Frrrrriiiiiiday!!
On the way home from another 1am finish. The fog was freezing and there was ice on the ground. Nobody was out.
My orchid has kept it's flowers for several weeks. I thought I would go for a colorful macro shot today for fun. I used my kit lens and the 7mm extension tube and lit this with my lightbox.

Farm Fire
We were called to a farm on fire just after midnight. It was not the 100 meters of straw bales that posed the biggest danger, rather than 3 of these ammonia tanks that were placed in the building. It was a long night.

I just love photographing these birds . They put on quite a show each morning, jockeying for position at the bird feeder.
Day 67 - Delicious Ritual Suicide

...but no animals were harmed, at least that.

20170308_0029_40D-40 Another day, another lot of rays (067/365)
Another morning salmon fishing at the mouth of the Waimakariri River. Some nice clouds after a lot of overnight rain. Must have been the coldest morning of the year though - autumn is here now!
A couple of Chinook Salmon caught in the 3½ hours I was there.

Hope this is corrective interpretation of selective color. I know how to use it with apps, but my understanding is that this is supposed to be "true" selective color.
My good friend Tracy informed me that March is national gerbera month! This gives me the perfect excuse to post pictures of these beauties all month long! Thanks Tracy☺️
I've been in New York City this past week. I haven't been able to post anything in the time that I've been gone, but I was thrilled to walk about the city and get a ton of random shots.
Not that NYC particularly made me think of this, but it's been on my mind over and over and over again like a broken record and the little things here and there that are happening are just allowing me to put it into words:
Adulthood is kind of like waking up every morning to have your expectations smacked out by reality. It really sucks sometimes and I think the hardest lesson to learn is to just smile anyway.
I went to bed hungry last night on the theory that you shouldn't eat after midnight if you want to lose weight. I ended up having the strangest dream -- I was holed up in the wall of my kitchen, waiting for a chance to sneak out and scavenge for crumbs. When I snuck a peak out after dark, there was a chunk of cheese just laying there waiting for me -- except it was stuck to some strange contraption. I scampered out and was just about to snatch up that wonderful piece of cheese when my morning alarm went off. I wonder if that cheese was good?

Last weekend, we got six inches of snow, followed by an ice storm that shut everything down. This weekend, we have unbelievably warm weather, which is melting all those mountains of snow. Welcome to life in the Midwest!
