Shot on iPhone 6.

It's yellow. It's lines. It's the roof of a carpark.

eric's 28 days or eight weeks old, so he's celebrating his second lunar birthday! we're very focused on weeks, so in some ways it's more natural of us to think in terms of 28 day or 4 week birthdays in addition to the regular kind. as an added bonus, his lunar birthday is only a a day after the full moon, which also happened to be a "blue moon".

Shopping bag for L'Antoxana

OK...I had a different plan for this shot, but as I was editing it, the hubby said it looked too scary and I will have to agree :-P Anyhoo...this is what I came up with instead. It's still a little scary, though.

Day 56 ~ 365.2015

Week 8 Theme: A rat´s-eye view

Sunday drives (back to school)

Day 56 of 365. Desta looks bullish on winning the 'climb the slippery greased bamboo pole thingamagic' competition. On this 64th Indonesia's Independence Day we're bullish about making Indonesia a better place for future generations. A country where we can all live side-by-side in harmony and free of terrorists!

Is that the right use for the word 'bullish'? Hehehe i just found it ^_^

Inspired by Cody85's take on this rather unique Temple, and as someone said to me a few days ago .... "get arty"

I am sad to report that some pixels were indeed hurt during the process ;-)

Daddy's favorite TV show

This fellow was riding his Pink Gio Scooter around the Byward Market in downtown Ottawa. He was looking the other way from me because he was wary of the truck approaching him from the side street.

An ice cream cone looks naked without a few sprinkles on top, or maybe more than a few! 😛 When shooting a subject that is delicious, eat your subject!

So, I got paired up with muffet68 (take a look at her photostream) in the Get Pushed-group. It's a group where you, basically, challenge each other to do something you usually don't. Heidi thought I needed more colours in my stream so she challenged me to do a shot with the primary colours (red, blue, yellow) and if I wanted to add secondary as well (orange, green, purple).

Well, I decided to go with the classic Photoshop combo. Red, green and blue. I tried a few with candy first but then decided to go with this one. I like how these glasses interract with each other, reflecting in the surfaces of the others.

The name is a bit of a film trivia test. Winners get a gold star*

I'm finding it hard trying to come up with new photo ideas each day when I visit the same places. Maybe I just need to think outside the box a little more.

*Winners will not receive a gold star.

I've been doing crafts all weekend, and I love it. I made pillows, found yarn, sewed.... It's been great.

I apologize for not uploading this picture yesterday, I fell asleep a little too quickly. Here it is now though!

-February 25, 2012

Yesterday was okay, however it was sort of stressful; not that today was any better.

Bulimia, also called bulimia nervosa, is a psychological eating disorder. Bulimia is characterized by episodes of binge-eating followed by inappropriate methods of weight control (purging). Inappropriate methods of weight control include vomiting, fasting, enemas, excessive use of laxatives and diuretics, or compulsive exercising. Excessive shape and weight concerns are also characteristics of bulimia. A binge is an episode where an individual eats a much larger amount of food than most people would in a similar situation. Binge eating is not a response to intense hunger. It is usually a response to depression, stress, or self esteem issues. During the binge episode, the individual experiences a loss of control. However, the sense of a loss of control is also followed by a short-lived calmness. The calmness is often followed by self-loathing. The cycle of overeating and purging usually becomes an obsession and is repeated often.

Bulimia was only diagnosed as its own eating disorder in the 1980s.

People with bulimia can look perfectly normal. Most of them are of normal weight, and some may be overweight. Women with bulimia tend to be high achievers.

It is often difficult to determine whether a person is suffering from Bulimia. This occurs because bingeing and purging is often done in secret. Also, individuals suffering from Bulimia often deny their condition.

Sufferers consume huge quantities of food. Sometimes up to 20,000 calories at a time. The foods on which they binge tend to be foods labeled as "comfort foods" -- sweet foods, high in calories, or smooth, soft foods like ice cream, cake, and pastry. An individual may binge anywhere from twice a day to several times daily.

If you haven't seen it yet, you should probably watch THIN.

The dogs is rather confused... we had a perfectly good garden wall until the massive truck driven by a lost Polish man following his Sat Nav crashed back into it. Don't worry, he's going to pay!

So I went to see Moderat play at the Columbiahalle and it was abso-fucking-lutely awesome!

"Sunset over Russia"

On my flight back to Germany. I could saw this really beautiful sunset for nearly 5 hours! In reality it was more beautiful, damn you plane window! :-D

Well, you'd never guess, but this is the River Gelt. But actually a part I have never visited before. For someone who for three years has been to the river at least three times a week, finding a new bit is quite exciting. To anyone reading this, it isn't. When you think of valiant explorers, charting the Amazon or the Limpopo, well... that's what I'm like. Except that I've only got ten miles to cover and I'm more at risk of slipping in a cowpat than being eaten by piranhas, or hit by a poison dart.

It is always good to discover somewhere new. With the 365 there is a slight pressure in that if you visit a new location, and it turns out not to be very good - there might not be time to go anywhere else. So, after dodging the poison darts it was a slight relief that I was able to get a shot of something. There's nothing worse than that 'can I even be bothered to take the camera out of the bag for THIS' style disappointment.

So, all in all, a day ticked off in mild, normal fashion. No health scares, stares from dog walkers, falls, rain soaking, frozen fingers or being sprayed with slurry. Not a trace of aggressive cows, lost teeth, howling gales or building little piles of stones (remember that - back in the olden days?) And piranhas can't even bite through your wellies it seems. Wimps.

This is a real coffee mug, not one of those model cups you see so often, starving themselves, using that fake coffee stuff that looks better on film. If you look closely you'll see the dribble stains from it's work, proud to hold it's coffee, not caring that the heat will fade it's mechanically perfectly printed facade. Not for this mug - hand painted by the way, so real, and spectacular, as the saying goes.

Also, it has a mustache on it.

Day56 of 365 travel memories took us all the way to September 2009 and our trip to US

Just tying to do something different.

My first pair of Toms. I don't usually care about brand names, but ever since our Guatemala team was given a truck load of Toms to give out in our village there, well, it changed things for me :)

The diggers were out along Bexhill beach, moving shingle to the top of the beach and generally making a right mess! But I guess it's one of those necessary evils in an effort to hold back the coastal erosion.

Fellow 365er's, Paul, Sonia and I were treated to a talk by "Touching the Light" last night at Seven Sisters Camera Club. Thanks Ken, it was a wonderful couple of hours being transported away from my daily existence.

Get off my land! Strange... we lived in this house for several months before we even realised it had this side alleyway and gate connecting the front and rear gardens. Strange how something within such close proximity can be so unknown and alien...
