... for your good KARMA:-)))

He made it to be counted in the GBBC which ended yesterday. This was shot yesterday morning in low light - but he was close. This morning he chirped, landed & hopped up to me, stopping me in my tracks! I had Bark Butter and he wanted it. Haven't loaded those shots yet. A warm wet night with lots of standing water so the chorus frogs roared all ... night ... long. And we're headed to the 70's today - which brings out butterflies.

365:2019 Day56

Today has been wonderful, we took a drive out to Lake Vyrnwy, I've been many times but I've not seen the waterfalls there.

Wow is all I can say... Quite spectacular today as they were partially frozen. It was a glorious sunny day, lovely day for a walk but not for my photos with harsh light and shadows..

But, it was great fun making our way up the falls (there is no path.. or at least we didnt find it) it was pretty amazing sitting in the middle of the falls, taking in the views and watching the water coming down.

I do like a waterfall. I didn't do too well with my photos today, this isn't focused very well but I think it's the best one I got.. I do need to practice more with my 10stop.

This shot only shows a small part of the falls (right at the top) they run down the valley and it's difficult to get a clear shot from the bottom.

Our Daily Challenge - Black & White

the next day:365

I really needed an easy challenge today!

This is shooting through a cd again, then just added a cream filter for the off white!

For the 365 Days self-portrait project.

One of my few outside shots. I think it's only the second one I've done. I would've taken a few more pics as I wasn't completely happy with the pose but it was cold and starting to snow so back inside I went... :)

When you come out of Green Park tube station onto Piccadilly and turn right you'll come to the Ritz Hotel. Along the front the window boxes are quite stunning against a bleak grey day.

Bob sees the world in a different way. His eyes are back to front, his view of life is back to front.

A hackysack who sees life half empty.

Me chronicalling his life, otherwise known as a rainy day project.

This morning is simply beautiful. I love fog.

Theme: UNEXPECTED

I started feeling a bit tired yesterday and I don't feel a whole lot better today. Hopefully it'll just be a short cold.

first day back wasn't too bad either, and i got that top and the carrot shaped soap today off one of my best friends, georgia, for christmas :] I love them both. Thank youuu! So i guess this photo is for her really, because i said i'd do a photo with the carrot soap :] so here you go georgia.

(thanks to charlotte for letting me use her bugs, she doesn't actually know though :P<3)

i actually quite like this picture for some reason.

also, it's hard to keep carrot shaped soap in your mouth for long, my mouth tastes all funny now.

ahaha i just remembered i have nail varnish on one hand (the right hand in the picture) ahah i find it hard to do the other

I was chasing my sweet dog Daisy around the backyard this morning trying to get her to stay so I could lock focus. She, like my daughter, runs away from me when the camera is in my hands.

Poking around Ancestry.com and its various links can result in some highly unexpected information, both pleasant and unpleasant.

Such as learning (according to marriage registrations in Little Rock Arkansas for 1926) that my paternal grandparents were married when my father was 16 months old. I strongly suspect he never knew that ...

This one is less shocking: it's a photograph of a printout of my maternal grandfather's draft registration card for World War I.

Coolness.

Day 56

The one thing missing from the picture is my Neo Citran drink for bedtime.

Yep, I'm still sick today. I've been floating through the day...looking forward to a good night's sleep.

Ordinary days at the office don't make for exciting photo opportunities. This is the train I caught to get home at the end of the day. Nothing special but BOOM! Day 56 is done and dusted

Day56 is another shoot with Brandi. Not a real big fan of selective color but it's where my brain took me today. Funny how selective color has gone from cool to cheesy. The fickle art world. Almost left it black and white but thought this a stronger version. Maybe I had too much caffeine at breakfast.

HCS! This was about a ten minute drive - had no pod ideas so rolled down the window and took this shot of the Organ Mountains. I had some motion ones that I wanted to use for my pod but didn't like any enough.

This was actually mostly an accidental shot. Was walking around but didn't know if I was in the frame and then just hit the remote. I went through a number of random shots before some guy was observing me and started being extremely friendly and kind of interrupted my session; I always still feel awkward doing these self-portraits in front of people!

I didn't like any of the pictures I took but packed up shop anyway, and realized that maybe a lot is in the cropping the image (either that, or the more likely case - I just got lazy and didn't want to take more :P).

dear little aviator,

you aren't able to fly.. But you can always dream, Just close your eyes and all will be fine.

Dream.. dream of the clouds, dream of the big wide world.

Geese at the Virginia Tech duck pond

kris and i have switched roles and now i've got the camera. he's looking up at her as she's telling him what a super job he did enduring my bath, which was twice as long as the those that she gives him.

she's getting ready to put a "big boy" top on him to help keep him warm after the bath.

For this shot I decided to back-lit the orchid to get a powerful contrast.

Brrr... if you're venturing out tonight, be sure to wrap up warm.

Can I take this opportunity to apologise for my terrible commenting over the last couple of days. I honestly do lose sleep over it! Got a busy couple of days but if I don't catch up with you tonight, I'll be back to make it up to you later in the week. I'll bring flowers and chocolates and everything! :-)

Used a long exposure (1 second) to get some colour into the night sky here. Well, it makes a change.

Lighting: 580EXII (1/16th power) to camera left. Vivitar 3500 on the ground behind me, to light some of the grass (to balance the frame) and give a bit of backlighting.
