Day 40:
Okay, now that my mosaic done and out of the way. I can post today’s photo.
Although now that I’m here, I really don’t know what to say.
Today started off early.
We got up jumped online for awhile, then watched ”An Evening With Kevin”, the first one. After seeing him at Comic-Con and subscribing to SModcast, I had to see this (and eventually the 2nd Evening With...). It was a bit mild for what I have heard from him lately. When he’s answering questions, it gets boring. Not his fault, it’s just usually
the same questions. However when he gets to tell a story, that’s where he shines. I could just listen to him talk for hours. Which is exactly what I did when I downloaded
all of his SModcasts. Listened to 5 straight hours worth. Very entertaining.
Okay, after that we went and did laundry, groceries and now we’re watching ”Chasing Amy”.
Might sound boring to some, but hey, not everyday needs to be exciting. Just spending time with someone you love is all that you need. :)

Wednesday is Flattery's birthday, so I wanted to get a few birthday pictures of her to post on the blog. Nothing doing, but Bunny wanted to be involved in these pictures in the very worst way. I told her if she was going to join in, she at least had to wear a hat, and she told me to bring it on. Of course, Bunny managed to hold still and be a good model for the pictures while Flattery couldn't quite contain her excitement over those little pupcakes.
You can read more about Bunny and Flattery at TalesAndTails.com.
It's been a doggie type of week! So these two are named Maggie and Molly (one of them was featured in last year's 365) - and they live right across from our house. This is what doggie jail looks like. :( The one on the right is asking to be let out so maybe not so sad.
But in reality, they were excited to see me. I've been super lazy with carrying my camera the past few days but thank goodness for my good ol' mytouch 4G slide - got a few photos of them as I left this morning. As I was pulling out, one of them was standing and glaring at me..so I stopped the car. Still got the glare. Stepped outside of the car and started to walk towards the fence..same stare down but then she started to wag her tail and as I approached, it was excitement to the max. That made me happy.
Lonely dog should be friends them but the problem is that these ones are always behind the gate.
What a wonderful world.
Day40:40/365
So, Today I woke up to the rattling of my dresser. It wasn't long before I realised it was an earthquake. I just sat in bed halfway asleep starled.
2.10.10
Ok, so I have two other photos from the past two days that I haven't uploaded .. but they're on a different camera and I don't have time to do that right now .=P So this was todays. 9_9
I dont like it... but I had to do it really quickly due to zippo time.
Originally, i had a smile going on, but that wasn't working because it was soo stinkin bright out! O_O In the end, I gave up and did what my body was longing me to do -- close my eyes. 9_9
tuesday trivia
sorry for not being able to keep the quiz at one particular day, but at least it's once a week!!
today's quiz is related to the comic & movie Tank Girl, it is not my favourite by all means, but I think Mika is totally rockin' this post apocalyptic bounty hunter look!
#1. the creator of Tank Girl is the british Jamie Hewlett, he later founded a virtual band to great success. what is the name of that band, and which artist/producer did he co-create the band with?
#2. name three of the artists that featured on the Tank Girl movie soundtrack (which is AWESOME) from 1995.
#3. in which part of the world are the stories of Tank Girl set?
good luck to you all!

These children race down the levee of Lake Willastein in Maumelle today. The boy at the bottom did a face plant seconds after this shot was taken. He came up laughing and didn't seen to care.

ha, and yay for being able to draw a symmetric heart with lipstick!
Today I was inspired to shoot a selfy, while my family napped after dinner. Do you ever feel like your fading away? I'm not talking like Marty McFly in Back to the Future, because you messed up the space/time continuum. I mean more like being out of work means I'm not stressed about taking a nap because I can sleep tomorrow while everyone else goes to school and work. Not being a part of the rat race makes me sometimes feel like I'm in limbo. I don't know, it's weird and sometimes hard to articulate. Despite how I feel, I know I'm not fading. I'm very much here, I matter and that's what's important. Day40/365 #project365 - Fading Away
Day 40/365
"Butterflies whisper gently in my ear…"
You know sometimes you're doing something and that little voice in your head goes "are you sure that's right?" or something along those lines…
I always find myself thinking "yes, absolutely." only to kick myself later because I didn't listen to the little voice!
Today's photograph is based around that. The little voice you hear, represented by the butterfly, gently whispering in Sasha's ear - and more importantly… Sasha paying attention! Just as I ought to all the time. :P
On a side note:-
The other day I stumbled across Eva Thöni on Flickr. Today she finished her 365 project ( www.flickr.com/photos/thoenieva/4986813753/ ) - it's wonderful to see someone who has finished the 365 project, partly to see what they've done and how they've grown and developed.
One of the things I've found hard with this project is, "inspiration". I don't find the "inspiration" to be the hard thing, but rather how strongly I criticise myself. For example, I'll go and try something, but as I'm doing it, I'll start to question myself. The most common thing I'll think is "I've done this before", or "this is boring".
Eva sent me a lovely message via Flickr, and some of her words really helped me… I realised my biggest problem is, I need to relax. They'll always be photographs I love, and the ones I "like".
So, I hope you'll all enjoy what I do, big, small, conceptual or simple… and thank you for all your comments so far.

I never really understood that quote. I know what I'm getting next in a box of chocolates because I have a little card that tells me what's what. Obviously someone kept stealing Forrest Gump's cards.
This is what happens when you go shopping hungry and there's lots of half price Thorntons for Valentine's day by the door. Oops!
“Do not assume that she who seeks to comfort you now, lives untroubled among the simple and quiet words that sometimes do you good. Her life may also have much sadness and difficulty, that remains far beyond yours. Were it otherwise, she would never have been able to find these words.”

I had a plan for today: go get my box of recyclables from the store & drop them off at their various locations, come home and bake cookies and a cake (or cupcakes) and decorate them with the new piping kit I got the other day, and then continue cleaning.
Bwahaha, that didn't happen.
Well, it started to.
Then as I was driving to WalMart to recycle the plastic bags, my body decided to start cramping really bad.
So I grabbed a couple of rolls of premade sugar cookie dough and a bottle of Midol and headed home.
Three pills and 90 minutes later, I was able to stand for an extended period of time without much pain, so I made the cookies.
It didn't take long for the cramping to come back, so the cookies aren't iced. Or frosted.
They are cooled though.
And the mess is still in the sink.
I'm not too worried about the cupcake/cake thing; Jake made my birthday cupcakes last month and took the liners to his house to do so, so I don't have any here to use anyway.
I just need to get a little better at the cupcake frosting thing: I ordered two books from Amazon the other day, and I am super stoked to try them when they get here!
I also want to take a decorating class at the local Michael's with a friend so we can improve our piping skills.
I just hope I feel better tomorrow.
Not wanting to do anything but be doubled over in pain & then sleep when the pain finally goes away is not the best way to spend a week of your life.
Today on Day 40 I went to do my usual documentary photographs - tents, protesters, signs, camp, etc. Instead I come across Reverend Billy and as I was talking to him I spotted two protesters who stood out.

Day forty. {Explored #50!}
Well actually I took this photo at like 1am, so there's the mistake xD anyways, interpret this however you like. I guess it's kind of a mistake that I ended up so behind on my 365, too.

I have to buy some lights/flashs. An Ikea lamp + an external flash as sources of light are definitely not sufficient
This is the shot that got picked up and has gone viral over a month after I originally posted it.
i usually don't post two shots of Cooper back to back, but look at him flying. How can I not, make it my shot of the day! I knew with all the fresh snow that Cooper would have a ball, and would want to run having been house bound the previous day due to the storm, and possibly lead to some nice images.

I don't watch American Idol so I never heard about Adam Lambert before one of his song was played in my jango station. It was song calle What do you want from me. I was mesmerized by his voice and immediatelly looked him up, so I discovered he was a runner up in one season of American Idol. I think he is absolutelly briliant, his voice is incredible not to mention he is damn good looking ;)
This is my tribute to his song For Your Entertaiment
So hot
Out the box
Can we pick up the pace?
Turn it up,
Heat it up
I need to be entertained
Push the limit
Are you with it?
Baby, don’t be afraid
I’ma hurt ‘ya real good, baby
Let’s go
It’s my show
Baby, do what I say
Don’t trip off the glitz
That I’m gonna display
I told ya
I’ma hold ya down until you’re amazed
Give it to ya ’til your screaming my name
No escaping when I start
Once I’m in I own your heart
There’s no way you’ll ring the alarm
So hold on until it’s over
Oh, do you know what you got into?
Can you handle what I’m ’bout to do?
‘Cause it’s about to get rough for you
I’m here for your entertainment
Oh, I bet you thought that I was soft and sweet
‘Ya fallen angel swept ya off ya feet
Well I’m about to turn up the heat
I’m here for your entertainment
It’s alright
You’ll be fine
Baby, I’m in control
Take the pain
Take the pleasure
I’m the master of both
Close your eyes
Not your mind
Let me into your soul
I’ma work ya ’til your totally blown
No escaping when I start
Once I’m in I own your heart
There’s no way ‘ta ring the alarm
So hold on until it’s over
Oh, do you know what you got into?
Can you handle what I’m ’bout to do?
‘Cause it’s about to get rough for you
I’m here for your entertainment
Oh, I bet you thought that I was soft and sweet
‘Ya fallen angel swept ya off your feet
Well I’m about to turn up the heat
I’m here for your entertainment
Oh oh…mmmm
Entertainment…
Oh oh…..Oh entertainment…
I’m here for your entertainment…
Oooohhh…..
Do you like what you see?
Wooooaaaahhhh……
Let me entertain ya ’till you screeaaam
Oh, do you know what you got into?
Can you handle what I’m ’bout to do?
‘Cause it’s about to get rough for you
I’m here for your entertainment
Oh, I bet you thought that I was soft and sweet (bet ya thought)
‘Ya fallen angel swept ya off your feet
Well I’m about to turn up the heat (turn up the heat)
I’m here for your entertainment
