Dude said he drives barefoot 'cause the pedals are too close together for him.

This is a lovely photograph of my friend Nicole who agreed to be my model for the day. She is sat on her windowsill reading her favourite book.

This is why i felt like shit yesterday (meaning the day before I took this picture)...please don't take my tonsils out here...please...

Okay let's please not talk about what a shitty hack photoshop job this is. :P

Let's also not talk about how in the original photos, I was 10 times darker than Minna, and somehow ended up 10 times paler. How does that work?!

One of my favorite books!

(Yes the quote above is only from the movie version but how friggin' great is that scene?)

Look out for more of these in the future :)

See Minna's version here!

My mum got me this orchid for my birthday. Isn't it pretty? My birthday wasn't as terrible as I thought it was going to be. It was nothing special but it was good. I was surprisingly content. I woke up late, watched tv and then JT played video games with me. He can be a pretty cool kid when he wants to be. My dad got me a portable hard drive, 500G so I can stop bitching about not having enough space.

I know my 365 probably looks weird, alot of shots I'm posting private because I'm getting lazy and just blind shooting myself before I go to sleep so I wake up with these terrible pictures of me on my camera that probably scare you all away if I posted them public. Hah.

EXPLORE

a peaceful walk?? Not really.. I was actually a little nervous.. looking out for a bear that was suppose to be around there. o_O But it never showed so it worked out good. (^_^)

I am copying this idea from someone else I saw do it - I just loved it so much I had to do it myself.

it's longer than this, but my double chin got in the way.

I work in the Online Communications department for an international nonprofit service organization. Today was the judging of our annual Peace Poster Contest. Members of the Chicago art/youth community judged 123 posters from around the world, narrowed down from 400,000 submissions, all depicting peace from the eyes of children.

Tonight is the State Of The Union address. Being that is a important thing when into politics to focus, at least in my eyes. I decided I need to make myself into a the political spectrum for the evening.

PLEASE NOTICE: None of these three pictures show my true feelings about the political party. Being blue left wing, purple "undecided/unknown", and red being right wing. Along with not all parties are shown.

No time, no inspiration tonight. This my fridge, with some magnets on the list of possible menus (almost, hidden, don't want you to steal the best ideas ;-)

Day 23

self-stitched;

Skirt and shirt; refashioned from 3 old business shirts of my husband's.

The (upper) shirt seams were unpicked and re-sewn to fit me, and different sleeves swapped in. These were cut down to 3/4 length. The skirt, made from the bodies of 2 shirts, have inseam side pockets, made from the sleeves of one of the shirts. The skirt waistband is made from scraps of the shirts, and a collar was removed and has been sewn in the small of the back to cinch in at the waistline.

My big kid was very busy with Lego today. As well as a fully equipped (and very colourful) Batcave, he built this amazing cafe, complete with a chef in the kitchen and two more tables further down the strip. Maybe that's what happens when you grow up in an inner-city hipster/coffee-oriented neighbourhood.

Finally, there was some snow coming down today. This snow covered tree is directly under a street light, which lit up the branches from one side. I liked the contrast against the dark sky.

Day 23 of 365 Photo Challenge. Expressions. October 24, 2021

growing up we celebrated the christian holidays of christmas and easter, (without the religion), and it was a lot of fun. what's not to love about santa claus and the easter bunny?

when i got married, we celebrated hannukah and christmas, (i married a jew so no easter), and continued the tradition with our daughter until 5 years ago when i got a hair up my arse and decided we all had to be one thing.

one year of religious studies and a conversion later, i became a jew, (my hebrew name is carmela), and it all back fired.

no one wants to just celebrate the jewish holidays and we agreed that sending our kid to religious school doesn't work for our family or our wallets.

instead of the guilt, instead of worrying about being one thing or another, we are us. a blended family that celebrates it all.

period.
