It's a rainy, cold day today, maybe our last gasp of winter. M is making chili on the egg. I was trying to capture the smoke and rain. I did get the rain. Another cozy day to knit.

Spring is almost here and these Mike and Ike's remind me all to well of it.

In season, right now. Watercolour and Ink

Motorstorm. Another one of Mark' games, but he doesn't like it so much (it was a gift). I like the blurriness of this pic.

Had to pull over to let the fire engine get by...I wonder where the fire was at.

I cross Stanton Pass, the high point of the trip then leave the road and drop into Pennell Creek. This was one of the more uncertain stretches of the trip. I had no idea whether Pennell Creek would go through nor what the water situation would be like. Fortunately there was plenty of water in Pennell although by the time I got to the camp spot it had gone from a nice clear mountain stream to a muddy trickle.

It is way too cold to have to walk that far:) Brrrr

Blessing from God. Rain! We received about 3/4 inch of rain last night. The drought started in 2011 with 100 consecutive days of over 100 degree temps and only 13 inches of rain. We are praying that this is the end of the dreadful drought.
