“Build a little fence of trust around today;

Fill the space with loving deeds,

And therein stay.

Look not through the sheltering bars upon tomorrow,

God will help thee bear what comes of joy and sorrow.”

~Mary Franei Butts

One of the things in life where if you didn't pay attention you may just miss it's beauty and mistake for a weed.

Like all first days back from holidays, you're up to your elbows in washing and unpacking. The rose is one of many in our neighbor's garden.

In the cloudy night, the moon sometimes went in behind some clouds, but the surface of the river was always shining by the reflection of lights.

This weeks Macro Monday theme is "wet" and typically it is a dry day as predicted, so I turned to the Cherries from yesterdays shopping as the subject....I liked this one as it looks like it has spots...ah bless !

HMM everyone !

Thanks for views, comments and faves, I amazingly had 6000 views yesterday and all are very much appreciated especially from you guys that stop by every day :)

Day 140 - 365/2023 - A Never-Ending Journey

Awhile back, Brittany suggested that I take a shot that incorporates a bicycle in some manner. Here's her shot. I like the pattern of the ground in hers. Mine is okay too, I suppose.

Pretty much post and run today. Pretty busy lately :(

Anyway I had this idea in my head for some time now :) I thought it was simple to make but I got few bumps and it took me quite a while...

Those 2 cute frogs are from my photo made in Natural History Museum :D I will post it in comment

If you view it in large, you will actually see there are letters on my face... ok looked at it in large and it all doesn't look as cool as it should >< boooo

day 140..

Super tired today, had to work commencement last night and take lots and lots of photos. And it is raining AGAIN!!

ughh

A Hemingray 45 glass insulator painted to resemble a folk character. Between the late 1870s and 1967, the Hemingray company made billions of glass insulators in various designs. Now, they have become collector's items and are being turned into objects of art.

Shot on iPhone 5.

Today started like most other Mondays - down the dog park with Gizmo, quick just in case snap for pic of the day, home to get ready, and walked Meg to school.

Then it was the train to the airport and, with the wonders of the date line, Monday night I'll be having dinner in Seattle.

In comments is a pic of my luggage. I've got the essentials - warm jumper, my comfy Qantas pjs and running shorts. Oh, and enough "necessities" for an Australian travelling overseas. For two nights away :-)

I'm about to board a plane to LAX - so unless I go with this shot, my only options will be inside a plane - and my seat isn't as good as G's for taking pictures.

It's a bit of a broken record for me, but to my flickr contacts let me apologise for my absence in the next few days. I've got a few Seattle photos in mind - so stay tuned for that. Then I'm back in Australia friday morning, and will catch up after that (well, when I eventually wake up). Be good while I'm away, and take lots of great photos - but not too great, I hate missing out on seeing them :-)

I really really need to get a remote for this camera - there are only so many arms lengths shots a girl can do!

I received this awesome handmade journal from my oldest daughter for Mother's Day. She made it, she is so talented!! It is such a beautiful treasure that I really want to make sure I honor it by using it for something meaningful. My birthday is coming up within the month and I think I will start writing in it then and make it a yearlong project to fill it up with whatever inspires me that day.

I used a remote control to take this picture but I had to keep stashing it with every click, kudos to all who are able to take selfies, I didn't realize how tricky it is to set the focus and trigger the camera.

ODC - connected (the way the pages are connected and the way I feel connected to my daughter)

I'm finally caught up! excuse my long long long long long long absense from here. as i said a while ago, there was a chance we wont have internet here for a couple days, and yeh, we didn't. dad's borrowed one of those usb-stick-connections from his friend for now.

i'm blogging right now. i haven't been able to post that too-long-post-that-couldn't-be-typed-onto-a-picture's-caption and it's too late to post it now anyway. so yeah, i'm gonna get back to the blog just after i finish typing this.

this is a picture of me and louise. we took this at the "shotophoot" we did a week before both our last days. i really really really love it, which is why i processed it and made it the wallpaper of almost every device i own. it was taken a while ago but i took a picture of the picture from the computer screen (something i've done before) which makes it the photo for today. please don't judge.

i miss her so much it kills me.

unusual mural near the Port Dundas spur of the Forth & Clyde Canal. I saw someone creating this a week or two back but didn't get a good shot then. I'm shooting through a fence here so not much chance at a proper composition. Anyway I'm calling it "Glitched" because it reminds me of the cool "streets" in the short-lived Glitch game I helped alpha-test recently. Still missing my Bluto character...

Got a new light yesterday and played with it tonight. Tested it out on my muse and myself. Kenya wasn't too pleased with this shot but I liked it better than the selfy's I did. It's a 2nd video light more compact than my first one I hope to use it for my next pre-prom session coming up this week Day140/365 #project365 - Light and Shadow

A day when I had no idea in my head so when I got home I looked for what I had available and came up with this!

Bee in a Buttercup

Playing with my torchlight hanging from the ceiling of the garage again. This time destroying a perfectly good rose from the bunch I bought mum for mothers day... I kind of like it ;) However I will also add that its getting to that time of year where I must seriously consider buying a heater for my dearest garage studio space... I'm not sure I've mentioned this but I DO NOT LIKE THE COLD. I mean its all fun and games until someone gets goosebumps (yeah I know, I am a wuss, whatever

:-P)

Sigh, only 6 days behind again... I suppose that's going to have to do for now.

Self portrait

I'm proud of this picture. I hope you like it! (and I hope the black background is actually all black like it's on my computer. I saw a couple old pictures of me in my boyfriends computer and the black background was all f**** up :/

Please tell me how you see it)

Day 140 2015

The sun was back today and the cold wind had dropped so i actually finished my decking and spent an hour watching this greedy little fledling and its three sibblings keeping mum and dad busy keeping them safe and well fed,

Got to a burgled office this morning, a sick receptionist. A really shitty day.

So my brain is empty of ideas and a little frazzled.

A bit like this page.

Back home to the wisteria in full bloom, although it's taken a beating from the wind, heavy rain and hail yesterday...yes, I must be back in England!
