I was trying a different treatment on this photo but it didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to be. It turned out abstracty, but I still like it :)
Anyhow, I just wish for a blueless Monday! What are you wishing for?
Have a blessed holy Monday! :)
Day 139 2015
rain wind and the temperature has dropped and its driving me nuts being stuck back indoors after the recent warm spell i was lucky to find this weevil enjoying a bit of late evening sun after the sky had cleared.
139/365.
I'm behind on uploads, and comments and I logged onto Flickr this morning and was greeted by the most hideous UI I've ever had the misfortune of experiencing. Ugh, what have they done? At least give me the option to go back the classic look for crying out loud. This is terrible.
Anyway, this is Sunday I think. If you've seen Rod's pics for Monday you know what I was up to, once I get a chance (very busy today) I'll post some from that, and catch up with your photos, if I can figure out how to navigate to them.
Inspired by Meggie -she is just too amazing :)
Mines are not real cranes but one of these day's i'll learn to make them :)

The Weekly Alphabet Challenge - U for unmissable...our flight home!
Also for Window Wednesdays. HFF
I wanted to get the engines in the shot but this was the best I could get from the seats we were in, I didn't think the other passengers would appreciate me clambering over them to get a better shot! I thought I had better get this photo as it was unlikely I would have time to get anything else and I was right. Unpacking, washing, shopping, cooking dinner...and defrosting the freezer which was totally iced up because my son 'didn't' leave the fridge door open, not even a little bit. Oh well, these things are sent to try us and on the upside I have a nice clean, defrosted freezer. Oh, and jet lag.
So, I'm back home but it will probably take me a while to get back into the swing of things with Flickr. Thank you all for your continued visits and comments...very much appreciated.
Day 139 - Just around the corner
Now this is a Daily Challenge that works perfectly for me today. What makes me happy at the moment and brings me tons of Joy is my Project 365 and the interaction here on Flickr with all you guys... and while we are at it, my stream hit 250.000 vitsits today. Thank you all so very very much for that!

I thought I would have a go at something different with a surreal theme, I took the arrow image in Asda car park this morning and the clouds this afternoon forming the base of the photograph....the tree was a stock image of a Bonsai tree. Into photoshop and this was the result, another idea from the great Practical Photoshop magazine that I get !!
Happy Sliders Sunday everyone !
Thanks for views, comments and views all are very much appreciated (so far today there have been 3700 views) :)
365 days - year 2 - day 139
--------
A bunch of us went up to Jetty Island in Everett for a fun and relaxing afternoon at the beach. We barely even set up the blankets on the sand before we were off and shooting. It was such an exhausting but incredibly fun day.
Shot on iPhone 6.
This one is for my flickr cycling mates Eric and Perry (and absent Flickr cycling mates G and Slacko).
I'm on this bridge several times a week, but the other day I looked at it from about 100m away and it struck me that if I had a long lens I would have got good silhouettes against the background wall. I don't have a long lens on my iPhone so today I just walked along trying to find a spot that offered a good reflection on the wall plus a good composition in terms of lines. Then I just had to wait for a cyclist.

This papaver rupifragum "Tangerine Gem" will be blossoming soon.
While hanging in Time Square for a Flickr event, I shot this right before showtime near the Shubert Theatre on 44th street as the sun was setting. I like the process because it's hard to tell when (as in what decade) this picture was taken. The cars are always a give away, but I love to imagine maybe an evening in the 1940's. Day139/365 #project365 - 44th Street or 1944?

I was going around trying to find places to fill my tires up and it appears that people have taken the "self serve" a bit too literally and stolen the air pumps. These addicts are getting desperate now, it seems. This was the second place I went to that had their pump stolen.
So the weekly theme for my 365 group is "unnatural". This is my interpretation in two ways - the man-made building is obviously unnatural and I did some OTT HDR processing which is also unnatural I suppose. I quite like the HDR processing for this photo but normally tend to think a more natural HDR is better.
When you are face down in the gutter, its harder to see the stars

the original face down shot was taken in my new office first thing this morning (moved again -5th time in 3 years) with me hoping no one would come and find me! I'll post the original.

you could try to teach me to behave

Her carapace still encrusted with duck weed from Crescent Lake, I surprised this Painted Turtle in the act of digging a hole to lay her eggs in the sandy-loamy soil of our backyard.
This photo I made in the very early morning, when I was with my cousin for a walk.
The sun came out of the sky and shone pleasantly. Field and grass was still
frozen, but the sun warmed our faces beautifully.
Cousin lit a cigarette and stood
in the place that you see on the photo. I also lit a cigarette, pulled out a camera
and saw only her silhouette and the countryside beyond.

In my mindstorm I did carry you
Through the briars of disbelief
Through the woods of lethargy
Through a groaning dark so deep
I thought I died
In the fountain I did cool our feet
Under red and rainless skies
Singing ragged lullabies
Through the grief all advertised
In neon lights
Baby--your wish is my wish
And I have only this
From now on
Baby--your wish is my wish
Keep on running to the door
I heard Beauty crying in her sleep
So I bent for one more kiss
All our tears will turn and twist
We make bliss to end all bliss
And all time
Baby--your wish is my wish
And I have only this
From now on
Baby--your wish is my wish
Keep on running to the door
Running to the dawn
Keep on running to the door
I heard Beauty crying in her sleep
