Caught the sunrise again this morning and just couldn't resist this full dandelion seed head that was perfectly illuminated.

Thank you for viewing my image.

I have a fun milestone today, 1500 followers! I'm very humbled by this and appreciate the exposure that has come from having some images make it to in explore.

Into the Light - Day 118 - Year 2022

--------------------------------------------------

Working on getting my full strength back to normal. Here's a lame selfie attempt 46 hours after surgery. Finally getting some much needed sleep. Staying on my regimen and all signs indicate success.

Thank you to all who wish me well. Very much appreciated.

I will be faithfully doing my POTD no matter how silly. Working to get back to full capacity.

Sky#project365 day118

I saw a similar photo on Flickr a while back (sorry, I could not find it to link to it so if it is yours please add the link!). I woke up too late to go into Central London for my planned photo so I then had to think up another photo for the day. Then I remembered this photo and decided it would be my photo of the day.

Just a reminder: 118/365 = 32% done

Day 118 - It's simple as that

If you ever wondered were my bokeh is coming from... it's this little piece of glass. Feels like a dixie cup (looks like one too) but it's just magical... simple as that :o)

# 28 for April 2015: A month in 30 pictures

Week 17/52 for view 52 (trying to catch up and confused with dates!)

The stone was in the favour bag at the wedding I photographed recently, it just fitted perfectly in this gold heart and since I couldn't think what else to do for today...

A shot I've had in my head for a while, and the title is appropriate right now!

I apologise if I've been quiet on here..

Happy weekend everyone :o)

this is early evening.

its almost 8 p.m. and the sun is still not set in the sky.

we lost today, to downingtown west, they're a good team, i'm not pulling my hair out over it.

there are far more reason to be doing that.

i read something the other day that made me think a whole lot. i thought it was pretty funny because it definitely wasn't written to invoke deep-thinking but somehow it ended up that way:

He stood there checking it for nearly 20 minutes. Dudes were pulling up and paddling straight out. But this guy was timing sets, studying the crowd, and sprinkling sand into the wind. He removed his board from his fin sock, sat on the curb and began scraping off the wax. When he was finished, he wiped the board with a moist towel and began the careful task of waxing back up. Base coat first. Nose to tail. Tail to nose. Slow, careful circles. Meticulous, evenly spaced beads. He checked his fins. Checked his tail pad, his leash, his rails. Then he set the board carefully in the shade and covered it with a towel. Time for sunscreen. Vertra for the face. White slather everywhere else. Behind the kneecaps. Between the fingers. He even had a flat neoprene strap to rub the hard-to-reach spot on his back. After stowing the sunscreen, he held a t-shirt under a faucet, rang it out and put it on wet. Out comes the First Aid kit. He holds a tiny reef cut under the faucet. Dries it. Applies Chinese medicine. Band-Aid. And then tapes over the whole situation. He runs a quick strength and flexibility test on the First Aid. Satisfied.

Now the stretching. Deep knee bends. Toe touches. Torso twists. Arm rotations. Everything slow, counted, and are-you-f--cking-kidding-me careful. He's staring at the surf. Sniffing the wind. Getting his mojo together. And now he's ready. He waxes the top of his feet. Secures and double checks his leash. Then jogs down the steps to the waters edge.

His car door is wide open. Keys dangling from the ignition.

take from it what you like (:

goodnight and God bless.

Okay this shot didn't quite work out as I had planned because my tripod is too short and my silly lens can't handle my tiny room. It was supposed to be a high-above view so the pictures on the bed could be seen better and you'd be looking into my coffee cup.

Damn.

Will try again, when I have a bigger room or lens :P

My remote is officially MIA - luckily I have a roommate with the same camera/remote :D - thanks Minna!

For the 365 Days self-portrait project. Posted a day late due to Flickr's extended massage... :(

I love going to this bar - the lighting is fantastic and great for photography.

Why do I see a creepy clown face smiling at me?

118/365 -Around the house - Day 118

she refuses to let these purple polka dot pants go. i had to get a shot before she completely busts out of them...or they fall to pieces.

and we're sad to see the cousins go. they drove off and we did underdogs until we couldn't anymore. back to reality, darn it. so not in the mood for chores and laundry.

Decided to go to San Francisco's Aquarium of the Bay. Since I never been here before and I must say, it was well worth every penny. Definitely heading back here again or probably going to Monterey of the Bay when I have the chance. Most of the shots were at high ISO but shooting RAW wasn't really a problem. It's one of those moments I wish I had a full frame body.

While down on one of the lower levels, one side of the ground has a moving conveyor. Something similar to a escalator, but it's split in half. So one side is moving and the other isn't. This was beneficial for me because I actually can stand in the middle and not get hit of block people. Probably one of the more shots I like the most today. The mood and expression of enjoyment you get from animals is like no other.

Project 365 (2022) | 28 April

Climbed up on the roof of my work in Long Island City for the flyby.

Day118 of 365

For Xaviers birthday we are visiting the X spot where we are all inspired by (blatantly copy) Mr J Pegs images. My reluctant husband agreed to help out. We spent most time trying to decide what to write on the signs. My husband is in fact tone deaf. This wasn't the most obvious copy but is my favourite just for the expressions.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY XAVIER!

this also fits nicely with the 365 week 17 theme - imitate

a lot of fun (59/215)

{3.14.2010 ~ Day 118 of 365}

I'm diggin' this last bit of daylight. I'm going to savor it, because I know I'll be fussy when I wake up in the dark tomorrow morning ;)

Today's gratitude ~ a strained muscle over a blown knee. IYou take what you can get when you live with a bulldog ;)

Regent Street is an example of Beaux Arts ‘façadism’, an architectural set piece designed to impress as it unfurls before the visitor. It is a medley of related styles and decoration, with each building having been designed individually but within strict guidelines. Each block was required to be designed with a continuing unifying façade to the street, regardless of the number of sub-divisions behind the main elevation, and they had to be finished in Portland stone with a uniform cornice level.

All the buildings in Regent Street are listed as being at least Grade II status and together they form the Regent Street Conservation Area.

only some dead flowers. not a great day.

Weekly competition of the 366-1 group is a picture of something that starts with the first letter of my forename. While I could list 10 or more proper subjects on the top of my head that start with a "K" in German, I discovered that there are much less words in English with "K" as a first letter. ...Ketchup? A knife? How utterly exciting :-/

On top of everything, the weather is awful and I still don't have time to go out for a walk or to set up something. So here I (more or less) proudly present the kerbstone in front of our house --- and our neighbour's car. The very neighbour who will probably cross to the other side of the street next time we meet, after his car almost ran over me while I was kneeling in the gutter, focusing on some wet leaves. As my flickr friend sverremb said: a wide angle lens gives you a wrong perspective and things (waves as well as cars) coming towards you are closer than you might think :D
