Our Daily Challenge - Animals
113:365
Well only one willing animal today, thank you trusty Tiger!
No natural light - amen for my flash when I get home late!
Yesterday I wasn't feeling great, (man cold) and I was debating if I would ever do another 365. Still I bravely set out with an idea for a mind, when I was passed by fire trucks, so I decided to follow them. Turns out it was someone trying to do a control burn that went out of control and spread to an old barn. Got some pretty decent shots. No one was injured, just some property damage as you can see from the photos in the comment section
It's day like this in a 365 that you realize that sometime you get shots that you would otherwise have gotten. Without the project I would have stayed home, nursing my cold and missed out. Damn, got to rethink my doubts about next year.

April 23rd. While most of the UK had a lovely sunny day, we had another day of grey, mist and rain. I thought I'd attempt a white on white (grey) shot of blossom before it got blown away by the projected gusts of wind. As I returned to the house there was a brief glimmer of light through the clouds so I took a quick pic and blended them to get some light behind the flowers. I like this but it's not exactly spring like. In fact it's a bit forlorn, much like the bloody weather.
This is my fave pic of the week so adding this to my other 52 projects for week 17

On our exercise walk today I took a golfball and tee for a couple of shots with two camera/lens combinations.
Currently under our Level 4 Covid-19 lockdown, golf (and all sport apart from cycling. walking and running) is banned.

Day 113 - 365/2023 - A Never-Ending Journey
-----------------------------------------------------------------
All day steady rain and a dreary day,
but April showers bring May flowers or so 'they' say.
Also a very good day to make a fresh yummy batch
of Guacamole for lunch. With Jalapeños, of course.
My little tribute to the movie - Happy Valentine's Day! ^^
(Also, my entry for the ToyLove2008 contest)

So exciting!
The word "summer holiday" reminds me straw hat, pool, and sunflowers.

Today's theme was Sun. Made different compositions of Sun with lamp post, trees, fence, poles… this one is my favorite!

4.23.2011 ~ Day 113
Look who's back! Sorry Gus, but there's just no way to get around Easter without the bunny ears (heehee).
Happy Hoppy Cliche Saturday ;)
“Lessons:
(a) Anyone can abandon an action when it’s still at the ‘romantic’ stage.
(b) There is always someone to tell you: ‘Now that you’ve started, finish.’
(c) Everyone has the authority of an official when he or she is absolutely convinced of what he or she is doing.” –Like the Flowing River

I started my 365 to prove myself that for once I can start something, enjoy the journey in between and hopefully get to finish it with a big smile. Unfortunately, certain circumstances have been presented (I will only be around here for two days a week, the most) that made me think perhaps this project will have to wait. That there are things I have to prioritize and thus I’ve contemplated on postponing everything. Postpone, never quit. Yet, I don’t want to act on impulse and thus I turned to people whom I look up to and I know will enlighten my clouded senses. Some agreed with me, but mostly did insist that I should go on.
Vanessa, I won’t be doing a cleaning around here, I promise you that.
Janey, you’ve provided the biggest comfort with your words and for that thank you.
Beautiful McKayla, you’ve always been a wonderful friend, a gift.
Belle, good luck with everything, I hope you know how wonderful you truly are.
Sir Rich, you should know that I’ve always been grateful for your presence and never ending words of encouragement.
And Edan, I LOVE YOU<3
Today marks day 129, but I opted to post an outtake from day113. I just want to be reminded of that day when I took my camera out for a shoot, after a week of hiatus. The day I was most thrilled to take a photograph- waking up as early as 5 in the morning with my first set of printed photos on hand, ignoring all the insect bites and the scary noises around, and being caught in that private area was the least of my worries. All I wanted was to capture the photo I envisioned it to be (and in the end be pleased with it.)
I know I haven’t been following the rules of a 365 as strictly as I should, but I’m going to continue. No matter how long this may take.

This is my new picture for my 365 project for the weekly theme "Spaceship".
So; what I would take on my spaceship tour without taking any things with me, except memorabilia in pictures?
A picture from my own thoughts about my travel...

For 365: The 2015 Edition -- 113/365
It was a lovely afternoon, just perfect for a tea party in the park. We figured we'd better make the most of it since the forecast for the weekend is rain.

The weather is absolutely glorious in Bristol today. Luckily for me that it's my 'weekend' having worked the traditional one on Saturday and Sunday.
I've been out having a Nandos with my friend Trigger and then went for a walk along the River Avon in Bristol searching out some views of the Clifton Suspension Bridge that have alluded me so far.
The rivers in the Bristol Channel, which the Avon flows into, has the second highest tidal range in the world. The river depth at this point can vary by up to 12 metres between high and low tide. It was this that made Bristol one of the busiest ports in the world in the 18th Century.
As you can see from this shot, the tide was very much out when i visited. The mud looks quite impressive up close. I'm just happy that I didn't get too close!
I spent the whole day in the garden today, catching up on springtime tasks that I missed doing while I had my cellulitis!
I potted on seedlings, sowed more seeds and planted bulbs! I also constructed a new cold frame, and filled it with lettuce, herb and chilli seeds! There should certainly be plenty to photograph when summer arrives!
All of this activity got me aching all over, so I wasn't looking forward to standing over my water drop rig for an hour while I coaxed a water drop collision from it!
To get around this, I decided to go for a new style of shot, which if nothing else, is colourful!
I've been playing with this type of colourful rippling for a while, and I hope you like it!
If I've stopped aching tomorrow, I'll be more patient and try and catch a collision within the colours! :)
Sorry for posting and running (or shuffling away) - I'll try and catch up with everyone tomorrow, if not earlier...

I thought it looked nice how the sun came up right where the palm trees crossed.
I took a bunch of HDRs of this and none of them came out, so I decided to go simple.
w is for would you like a cup of tea?
i had to do a quick shot today cos i have so much work to do before the weekend is over.
textures: here.
perhaps, View On Black.

Here come my new picture for my weekly theme 'Natural Light' and my 365 group. Shot with my iPhone 4s using the VSCO app.
Trying to capture this little thing, called natural light, for the next days forehandedly due of the bad weather. If you have no sunshine anymore, just give me a quick call, i'll put it back after use.
*This photo was originally left without a title, description or tags as part Wordless on Wednesdays. The group is all about abandoning the small talk and rambling we usually include with our shots, pointing things out or picking apart flaws, and leaving it wordless so that the viewer can draw what they will from it. I LOVED doing this. I will definitely be participating in Wordless on Wednesday weekly now. So much fun.
I don't have much else to add except that I was really happy with the way this turned out. I had a loose idea in my mind when I went to shoot, and it morphed into this and I'm so glad. Thanks to everyone for your praise and interpretations!
365 Days (self portraits): Day113
It's been a busy day and the day got away from me before I realized that I missed to take an outside shot before the Sunset as I wanted to play along with one of the groups Weekly theme "Natural Light". Hence going for an inside shot. At home spring clean-up is underway and these scarves drew my attention..
Been a while since I last took a photo of Harold the Sweater Wearing Giraffe. Now he's got a cool pair of sunglasses as well as his jean jacket :)
Why is Harold the giraffe wearing a jean jacket, you ask? Originally I made a sweater for Harold after I was inspired by a thread on the NaNoWriMo forums titled "How much yarn DOES it take to knit a sweater for a giraffe?" and later on I decided he needed a jean jacket :)
