This is an exciting sight here in the Davis Mountains. These birds only show up occasionally in West Texas. They are usually found in Mexico and Southeastern Arizona. This one appears to be a young male. His feathers have pale edges, his bill has a lot of black and his belly is still partially gray.

For my ongoing bird-a-day project for 2017.

This was something I came up with while just messing around with things. I applied a cutout filter and pretty much created this silhouette of sorts. I'm holding a bowl of cereal. It reminds me of an iPod ad.

I was going to crop out the top part so not to have the building, but decided that I like the full vista as it gives scale, and the sky was pretty neat.

Day 113/365

a bit cliche, but I haven't done one before.

Heroes Square decorated with the city name during the Budapest Spring Festival. Ever since I saw the sign I knew I wanted to take a photo of it using the fisheye. As you can imagine, it's very popular with tourists, so I had to wait for a bit till there was no one in front of it.

Day 113 of 365 days.

I hate math.

Hate isn't even the word to express how much I despise it. I found this pin while cleaning out a drawer I have of miscellaneous items, my "junk drawer". I have a small bag of pins and this was in it. I think I got in in like 2nd grade, who in their right mind would give a child this pin?! A child that struggles with Math... a mean teacher who probably went home laughing that day... haha. (ok at the time she probably didn't know how much I struggled)

Math scares me.

Into the Light - Day 113 - Year 2022

---------------------------------------------------

The morning started out with a bit of action right outside our door today. Unfortunately not the best day for this gentleman driving down our road on his motorcycle.

The neighbor's dog evidently ran into the road directly into the biker's path and as he swerved to avoid the dog, lost control, crashed, and messed himself up a bit in the process. Thankfully his injuries were not life threatening since he wasn't speeding. When the EMT unit arrived, they discovered the man had a pacemaker, so Life Star was called in to transport him to the hospital.

Finally dug out my sports bra and running shoes and worked out today!

It felt sooo good to get out there and exercise! I have to start making it a habit again... have to. No buts about it.

Friends if you really like the photo please put your comments along with Fav!! this is my humble request. Thanking you

What a long, fun, but exhausting day. Today marks the second Dunkxchange (DXC) of this year. I decided to actually enjoy myself more this time event rather than selling or buying. Although their were a few shoes I wanted, I didn't really bother as much since Brandon told me my shoes were waiting at his place that I have been waiting for the longest. For the most part spent my time chilling and helping Brandon and Val help sell their stuff. Saw familiar faces as well new faces, of course you guys and gals know who you are. Some supporters told me they appreciated my work and that is always appreciated no matter what. The event was held at a new location as well as Jesse and Bigfoot doing a live piece. The place had better lighting and was bigger. Can't wait for the next event, hopefully, it's at the same location.

Afterwards, decided to leave around 3 in the afternoon to check out Cherry Blossom Festival. For the last few years I have been missing out due to work. The weather overall was overcast and windy. Since Mindy and me got there somewhat late, most of the food stalls were sold out. They also added more seating areas to eat and enjoy yourselves, which is good. Since DXC was coming to an end, we got a call from Jenn asking if we wanted to have a post DXC dinner and of course we decided to tag along. We ate at Bull Head, which was next to West Portal station. Afterwards, decided to go home since my head was hurting and I was tired. Overall a great way to end my weekend.

In a world of my own ... Sunday, St. James's Park

day 114...

Full day of really bad storms. Tornado sirens going off, nice dark gray sky.. It has been a very interesting day. Going out tonight though very excited to get my drink on.. Hope you all have a great night

Day 113 - just a little bit...

It started to snow today here in Wuppertal. Just a little bit and not those big and puffy snow flakes, but that little grainy snow. Everything was covered with a fine film of white. What a great thing to shoot and while I went out it just started to snow again. Only for a couple of minutes, but that was all I needed - lesson learned, snow makes for a great bokeh.

For those of you paying attention or counting ;o) - I know I am missing a day. I will post yesterdays Picture a bit later, I am still working on those. But I promise you stunning Images! I was totally blown away when I looked at them for the first time on my computer (and still am every moment I work on them).

365 Days: Day 113

Man, I sure am exciting this week.

Life isn’t as complicated as I thought when I was still a kid,

I have learned to balance my time and my act.

If there are circumstances which are beyond my control,

I just go with the flow, breathe deeply or just follow where the wind blows.

When I was younger, I used to think and made excuses like:

“I’m barely balancing as it is while the wind is blowing and I don’t want to drown in my dreams”

That was when I was pushed to be a better me and told to dream as freely as I could.

Consequently, I have realized that life should always be lived and thought positively and to stop making excuses.

Truthfully, positive thinking does wonder to a healthy and uncomplicated lifestyle.

It wouldn’t hurt to dream freely and think positively at any given time :)

Happy Gorgeous Green Thursday!

Project 365 Week 16 Day 113 - Whatever !!

Our Daily Challenge - Sticky

Found this sticky note on my computer screen after getting back from a client's office this morning. I guess Toni means business !

This 365 photo project is getting out of hand. I'm hanging around in graveyards at the dead of night. The problem is that I got the focus knocked out on the best shots.... so I'll have to go back again!

The moon rises over the church tower, it's only a sliver, but 55 seconds exposure makes it seem very bright. Foreground lit by a single speedlite flash off the camera

Got up early and worked out then I stopped by Daybreak Lake right as the sun was rising. Glorious morning so far, wishing you all a wonderful day.

Capture your 365 - early bird

These are grocery bags that have a second life doing "you know what". When the dogs hear me pull out a "poobag" they know it's time for a walk! So it's a double effort....I reuse the bags and I clean up after my dogs.

FGR - Earth Day

This is supposed to be a zipper unzipping the pencils - I am not sure if it really came out that well??

The fear of light.

I am so ashamed of this picture. I hate it so much. But my original idea I spent like an hour editing and it SUCKED. So I had to retake something else and I was completely unmotivated..

I'm sorry, Flickaroos that this is so terrible.. :(

Initially this photo was supposed to be me, my legs, with Klara's help to take the photo. It didn't work, she complained about wrong focus on the wall instead of legs (haha!) so we swapped. Her legs are always bruised. She decided these are not bruises but a pattern and she enjoys looking at the new pattern every night :) Hmmm... maybe I should start documenting them?

This is the real me – no photoshopping (except for cloning out a bit of windowsill in the top left corner and slight adjustment to levels), at 7 in the morning. The part that makes me giggle with joy is that to get the nice charcoal background and good morning light through a window, the best seat in the house was actually the toilet. Hawww!

113/365 -Around the house - Day 113

115 Pics in 2015 - Its a beautiful day (#111)

This view is on the way to one of our favourite dog walking haunts, so on the way back I stopped, whipped out my iPhone and used the panorama option in the basic camera app to capture this view. I love seeing a rape seed field when the sky is blue they complement each other so well, and with a little bit of editing the colours can be saturated even more!

in memory of my beloved dog Dafu. Last night he went over the rainbow bridge. so sad.
