Day105 Year3 of Project 365
I should have been in Shanghai (mainland China) already. (Yes I know I can't sit on my arse for a minute) But today was simply horrible. We got to the airport at 6:30am only to find out, that we need visa to enter China which we don't have. Long story short. We missed the flight, we had to run to embassy and back to the airport several times. We paid about brazillions of bucks and we hopefully are flying tomorrow evening... I'm angry and frustrated. The chinese characters on my back mean anger or fury.

Chenonceau
Nikon D40
I met Stormy this evening while visiting my parents. It was a nearby neighbour's dog. Funny enough, he was a tiny bit shy!
Chow chow (LOL)
Day 105 - Expect lovely scenic pics from Cornwall for the next few days whilst me and my babies visit my Dad in Falmouth.
Todays theme for the Me Again Monday group is Yellow
This was strange/fun to do as I don't think I have had an audience before when doing selfless and it was quite odd having the OH there while I posed and pulled funny faces in mock surprise at the lovely flowers he had brought me....which of course were yellow....he came home with these on Friday so they fit perfectly for the theme for today.
There were many other silly shots I could have chosen but I was laughing a lot in most of them and they just didn't seem right !!
Thanks for views comments and faves, all are very much appreciated :)
Ok, as per last photo's description, this may put me in work peril, we had an Open House today, blah blah blah. Go read it.
So one of the people (to remain nameless and hopefully not able to identify by the story) seems to like to look at the ladies. Eyes up here, boys (and girls)!
One of my work friends and I just hit it off. She must be a secret freak too. Today, we decided that we CANNOT talk to each other because we just crack each other up to the disdain of our um, jobs.
She left, and I thought I was in the clear. Then she calls me from the car and says, "There's someone creepy; tell the guys." I work in a day care center, so this is immediate cause for concern and general panic.
She then came back in to tell me what happened. As she was walking out, a guy said hello to her and did the "up and down" checking her out. He THEN asked someone else who she was. Yeah, creepy. Turns out, there was no reason for him NOT to be there in this particular situation.
So I'm kind of wondering if this person really did this, but I'm grossed out and have to go take a picture of the squirrel. I walk out but keep my arms crossed over my chest.
But then I have to go find one of the teachers, and she has to come to the office with me. I'm behind her as we walk through the area where he is and he SO OBVIOUSLY looks at her ass. While his wife is there. He kind of pretended to look at the folding chair behind him, and then tries to talk to his wife about said folding chair TO CONTINUE THE LEERING.
I email my work-freak-friend IMMEDIATELY. And now I'm totally grossed out. And then I see him do it AGAIN! TO ANOTHER TEACHER! (Actually the last two were STUDENT teachers.)
Then he comes in the office and SITS AT MY DESK...asking me how to use his calculator. I email John and tell him to call me NOW! So he does, and I pretend that I have to go find someone. I lock myself in another office and wait for him to get tired of waiting for me to return.
Now I don't know what to do. This could be potentially embarrassing when the parents come in. I tell my boss. She kind of thinks it's just me being weird. Well, she really thought it was weird when I started walking in and out of the office strategically hiding my non-existent ass.
But she's in a good mood and has a wonderful sense of humor. So when another co-worker says that she is going to leave, I ask her where she parked (hoping that she has to walk past this guy). She tells me where, and I know that she has to walk past this guy. She asks me why I asked. I did NOT anticipate such a question, so I panicked and just said that I've been having trouble parking lately.
She goes to leave and I'm whispering "BOSS! PSST! BOSS! Follow her. You have to see this." The co-worker kind of hears me and is like, wha? But my boss played along and said that she had a question, so she would walk out with her.
She came back *BLUSHING* horribly. Which she does. Which is awesome for me in general because I blush a lot too and know how to read it. She says that the person CAUGHT her catching him checking out co-worker's ass. But now I feel kind of bad that I sent co-worker out as bait.
But I think I made the right decision not to freak out other people and let them know that we have an ass-peeper. I mean, nothing we could do, and no reason to make the ladies uncomfortable. See?!? I AM work appropriate and can make such wise decisions.
Ugh. I'm secretly terrified that this hits Explore, I get scolded at work, and I have to deal with the fact that a whole bunch of creepy people are looking at my cleavage.
Built by Thomas Hopper between 1820 and 1845 for the wealthy Pennant family on the profits of Jamaican sugar and Welsh slate, Penrhyn is a massive 19th century fantasy castle crammed with fascinating things including a 1-ton slate bed made for Queen Victoria and working Victorian Kitchens. This enormous neo-Norman castle sits between Snowdonia and the Menai Strait. Hopper also designed its interior with elaborate carvings, plasterwork and mock-Norman furniture. The castle contains an outstanding collection of paintings including 17thC Dutch & Spanish portraits; Rembrandt. The ‘below stairs’ Victorian kitchen and other servants’ rooms, including scullery, larders and chef’s sitting room, have been restored to reveal the preparations for the banquet for the Prince of Wales’ visit in 1894.
9th March... Following yesterdays white on white... and because its been a really grey day... and because there is so much sadness around at the moment... i went in search of the brightest things possible! so... Yay for colour (or color!)
Day 106 – Land ho!
An early start this morning has left me in a semi-conscious stupor for most of the day. There was little work to do. This was fortuitous because it gave me time to hibernate. By 9 am I had fallen asleep in an armchair. A peaceful feeling washed over me but I was not in a deep sleep, just a light doze, by that I mean I could feel myself drooling but I did not mind. All of a sudden I woke up. I don’t know what caused me to open my eyes but once i was awake I knew what was going to keep me that way. A stupefying headache had developed in my brain. My body’s way of saying it was not happy with me falling asleep in an armchair. All day this thunder and lightning continued in my head. Pills did not seem to make a dent in the pain so I decided that I was not going to stand for this type of nonsense. I told my brain to quit moaning and get sorted out. My brain briefly protested but I threatened it with a dose of big brother and pop music and it relinquished.
I sit here now with a different type of thunder occurring. The ferry I am on is pulling out of the port in a raucous medley of vibrations and rumbles. It signals the later part of my journey, a 3 hour boat ride and a 2 hour car drive to the beautiful village of Llwyngrwil. Once there I will suck in the sea air and whisper to myself “I’m free!”
Here come my second picture for the weekly theme 'Socks' in my 365 group.
This is a typical Swabian and Bavarian tradition wearing knitted knee length socks with a short leathter trouser. My own tradition is having bandy legs. =)
This room was right next to the morgue, so I can only imagine what could've gone down in this room.. with those chains dangling... too many thoughts ran thru my mind as I kept staring at this.. I just hope it was just a product of my imagination.
Mike told me not to eff this one up, I hope I didn't disappoint him. Wish I would've composed it a bit differently and a bit better.
Went out to an abandoned psychiatric hospital with the gang.. and as always, it was fun. Their creativity knows no bounds, and most of the times, I feel a bit out of place being there just with my camera.. I feel like they carefully plot and plan their shots and I take advantage of them by taking the shots.
Thanks and keep your constructive criticism coming.
Have a fantastic weekend.
Day 105 - Meandering through the treasure trove of crafty bits at my parents house I found some yellow in my mum's embroidery thread case. It is nice to find these little scribblings of her hand writing dotted around the house.
It's a wonderful collection of threads, neatly organised in a case which was designed and beautifully hand made by my dad. A perfect symbol of both my parents' extremely creative minds.
Despite the grey weather down here, lovely large windows let in some nice natural light.
Today was the first real lazy day I've had in 30 days and I needed it! Joyce and I lounged around for most of the day. I swam with Rylan than watched him ride his 4 wheeler. My aunt, uncle and cousins were coming into town and we had planned a cook out. They were staying at my grandmothers house and after getting picked up from the airport went back to Port St. Lucie. My grandmother proceeded to feed them knowing full well we were planning a BBQ. My parents were at the store checking out when we were informed they ate. It wasn't their fault as we didn't let them know we were planning a surprise. My grandmother was the only one that knew. I don't think she remembers half of what is told to her. Perhaps the bad blood just makes her act out. Who knows!
I figured since I was in lazy mode that I'd use every advantage presented to me. My cousins Blake and Joe were good sports and after there lengthy swim I set up the lights and gave Blake a shot at some much deserved revenge.
Lighting was once again a 3 point setup identical to yesterdays.
Background was photoshopped in. A simple 2 tone gradient with vignetted edges and a pattern overlaid.
I have all the blogs written, I'm going to be uploading them tomorrow. Don't worry as I am not slacking just readjusting to being home. I'll be back in the swing of things soon.

Nerd boy (having discovered the girl from the bar's cellphone) tracked down his dream girl's address and baked her a cake.
I know, I know, two shots in one day from the same shoot. 9_9 But that is why I'm not officially in a 365 day group. *lol*
I haven't done a bw in such a long time! I thought I should do one. :)
