Enough fisheye madness for a moment. Yesterday was Day 105 so here are some pics at 105mm....

Enjoying the nice day after work.

Chipping Sparrows are looking pretty spiffy right now in their spring/summer plumage.

Windows again. Not feeling so great about how the street photos theme I've set myself is going. Maybe I should do something else instead. I'll see what tomorrow brings.

ODC: windows

I took this exact shot last summer... but it was a field of wheat back then. Here's the oilseed rape version for 2015 youtu.be/nQLuUKRl9Eo

The View From the Deck: The day dawned bright and relatively warm, being 59 degrees F at 7:00 a.m. Most trees are now in bud or beginning to leaf out, the honeysuckles (of course) being the most advanced.

Day 105/ 365: 2015

An adult male Canada Goose on high alert is seen here in profile. And no, I don't know what that white spot above the eye is all about. This is an individual of the Giant Canada Goose subspecies (Branta canadensis maxima), which was introduced into Michigan and much of the midwestern United States and is now resident there throughout the year.

Taken for the "Smile on Saturday!" theme of 4/15/2023: ANIMAL FACE.

The Ride of Silence, held on the third Wednesday in May, is an annual international bicycle ride to commemorate cyclists killed or injured while riding on public roads. Participants are encouraged to visit a ghost bike (as in the picture) in their area and take their photo with it as a gesture of honoring the deceased person. In past years in Munich hundreds of cyclists took part, a moving experience. This year we rode alone.

The rules are simple:

1. Ride in silence

2. Remember and honor those who've been hit & killed while riding or seriously injured

3. Ride slowly and a relatively short distance - this is not a race

4. Wear a helmet & obey road laws for bicyclists

escape!

have a wonderful friday!!

this is the third time i'm using this texture, but i can't get enough of it! (From Lala Martin!)

it was a day of extremes today.

got up early (8:30 is early for me on a saturday morning), went for a run with a friend of mine, got soaked again (4th run this week and 4th time soaked...), and the afternoon was a combination of sun, springfeelings, then rain, sun, rainbows, rain, and this was another short moment of sun!

these are really the most beautiful months if you want to capture these amazing clouds! so if you live in europe, watch the air! the clouds where i fall in love with..

Day 105 of 365

105/365 -Around the house - Day 105

------------------------------------------------------

A good day to meditate and catch up with correspondence.

The rain started early today and continues, steadily to water the land. The green will become greener. It be April.

It may be plain old table salt but imagine how bland your food would be without it. I have grown up connected to the word salt being raised in Utah, the home of the Great Salt Lake. Salt, it is our friend and enemy.

I love this quote - “There must be something strangely sacred in salt. It is in our tears and in the sea.”

— Gibran, Khalil. Sand and Foam

The surface I used is a cutting board that my son made when he was in middle school. I don't like to cut things on it because I want to keep it as a treasure and what better way to honor it than to use it as a prop in my photos.

So when I got home from school tonight, my dog came up to me and said "hey dad (thats right he speaks english), lets play". So I had the idea to show all of you how high he can really jump! Because to me, this is high. Anyone else have a small dog that has hops? Oh, he also speaks some spanish, french, and of course, since he is an Italian Greyhound, he speaks fluent Italian! Thanks for stopping by! This is SOOC by the way.

Just having some fun with food as Mr Potato Head meets his South Pacific cousin Mr Pineapple Head. They are discussing what happened to their other cousin...Mr. Pumpkin Head and are asking you to lend a helping "hand" in finding him .

Got the little one some new kicks today. Got myself some too but I'm saving them for another day's POD ;) Is it just me or are Converse All Stars the most photogenic of sneakers?...

Enough fisheye madness for a moment. Yesterday was Day 105 so here are some pics at 105mm....

Tonight I went out for an early birthday dinner with my parents, grandma, 2 aunts, and 2 uncles. It took forever to find a restaurant due to waiting times and parking issues. I opened some presents before our meal came. I got earrings, towels, tshirt, Target gift card, and $21 inside hidden inside the 8 pictured boxes. My sister wrapped each of these boxes individually and put them inside of each other. After the 4th or 5th box, it was unbelievable that the boxes could keep getting smaller! It was really entertaining!

A quick shot for Day 104...

Ok, this is my last church picture for a while at least. Oh, and one more song:

Who am I?

That the Lord of all the earth,

Would care to know my name,

Would care to feel my hurt.

Who am I?

That the bright and morning star,

Would choose to light the way,

For my ever wandering heart.

Who am I?

That the eyes that see my sin

Would look on me with love

And watch me rise again.

Who am I?

That the voice that calmed the sea,

Would call out through the rain,

And calm the storm in me.

I am a flower quickly fading,

Here today and gone tomorrow,

A wave tossed in the ocean,

A vapor in the wind.

Still you hear me when I'm calling,

Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,

And you've told me who I am.

I am yours.

Day 105 ~ 365: the 2013 edition

A bit better on black.

April 6, 2007

Did a little spring shopping, this is one of the outfits I got. I'm pretty excited about the skirt because I never wear skirts- I'm trying to step up my wardrobe a little.

Hopefully the weather will get warmer so I can wear it = )

Oh yeah and I painted Easter eggs today too with my family. It's tradition!

Weekly theme 15: About me

I love to read. For pleasure and for learning. Today I read mostly from electronic devices and I use youtube and other video medias for training sessions. My idea of a perfect vacation includes reading every day, sometimes for hours.

EXPLORED

Have to admit Im pretty pleased with the edit. Not much to say today, wanted to do this image for a while, pretty much ever since I saw Regina Spektor's video for Fidelity. Although the one shot I had in mind, I forgot to take.

(This took forever to wash out of my hair)

Enough fisheye madness for a moment. Yesterday was Day 105 so here are some pics at 105mm....
