April 2022: A month in 30 pictures
My friends father hated Forget-me-nots and always dug them up saying they were weeds. After he passed away we used to smile about it and I wrote this poem for my friend. I found it the other day and today while I was thinking what to do for a photo, I noticed the forget-me-nots were out in the front garden so thought I would base this flat lay around the poem.
Forget Me Not
For I will make you smile
When you think of me
Every once in while
Forget Me Not
And although I've passed
Do not be sad
Just think of me
And the joy that we shared
In the life that I had
Forget Me Not
For I am now at one
With those little blue flowers
And the wind and the sun
And the April showers

Found this wasp wearily walking along the bedroom window ledge. gave it a little water then took it outside and gave it a nice resting place on some flowers

No time to think about the weekly theme today so another veggie shot. I've done one similar before but sometimes you just have to go with what you have at hand.

Today's random fact: A friend asked me the other day what my favorite childhood memories were, and I realized that I couldn't remember very many. I had a rough childhood, but there were a lot of good things too. I'd say the worse long-term side effect from my accident was the memory loss issues. I wish I could remember those things better.

After a long day camped out, jo was pleased to catch the fabled tomato eclipse on her camera.

i was trying to illuminate a pepper when this idea came to me - inspired by a photographer I regularly see on Facebook.

I took a photograph of this station last year in my 52 week project. I had initially gone to Canary Wharf station with another image in mind but that did not really work out. This is not the best either. When I got there the sun was really bright (typical, it has been rainy and overcast the past few weeks and when I get there it is sunny!) and was reflecting badly off surfaces making for some ugly bright spots. This was the best I could come up with.
For those of you who look forward to my weekend tube shots, I won't be doing any next weekend (well definitely not Sunday) as it is the London Marathon which means total mayhem in Central London.

Hi. I'm still alive. As I wrote on the last photo I uploaded, I had a friend (X.B - his initials) coming to stay with me and well, I didn't want to think about taking photos so I decided to stop going online for the most part and to also stop taking 365's while he was here. I'm glad I did to be honest and will probably go through phases like that again this year. So anyway, my friend left yesterday and I wasn't sure if I'd pick up a camera again today (I thought I'd wait a lil bit longer) and so, I didn't.
This image wasn't shot with a camera. It was my face against the glass of my scanner with the scanner scanning me in. I did 10 scans in total and liked these 3 best. I love the quality of the scans and how different it is from using a camera to take a photo. I will most definitely do this again.
Anyway, Happy New Year and happy rising costs to all of yers
I'm going to stop resizing my pictures to something smaller. They just end up hella bigger on the page...
Despite the somewhat disturbing picture for today, I feel pretty good. :D I feel cleeeean.
I went to UB, got caught in the nipping rain, and studied for psychology. Also, I'm now jealous of Facundo's eyelashes. I hate it when guys are just so pretty by default. Haha.
