Into the Light - Day 101 - Year 2022

---------------------------------------------------

A slice of the sky today.

Four shots stacked and layered.

April 10th 101/366

My new macro lens arrived today, a Sigma 105mm EX DG Macro. I still need some practice but I was quite pleased with the initial results, on a windy afternoon in my parent's back garden.

My week has started off quite green, so I'm going to continue that theme throughout the week.

I probably should wait until it all turns green outside, but I guess this will make it more of a challenge!

3/7 - All things green 💚 Today's shot is a little bit of green from my front garden! No idea what these plants are, but they look like mini cabbages.

(also trying out new Lightroom presets, I will find my style one day 😉)

Film? Nope. :D

I'm so tired of all this drama going on in my school. Most of the people I see there are just plain fake. They're so afraid of becoming who they really are. They change their appearance in order to become popular and become a guy-magnet.

Seriously, girls?

I just want to get out of there as soon as I graduate and run away with my (irl) close friends and the interneettt <33

What... another explore... this is becoming suspicious.

You Can Celebrate Anytime you Want .. :))

It was rainy whole day, and was a busy day at work... didn't get any time for photo till 10pm.. well, night photography with everything rain soaked!! sparkling and shining.. how good that sounds.. ;)

Day 101 of 365

~Ralph Stephenson, English camera operator and photographer

I woke up this morning feeling brand new not feeling blue at all, it's a new day!!

Happy blue (less) Monday! :)

For Day 101 of 365. And for TRF. And for lyrics.

Today's random fact: Our church had Operation Outreach today. Went out into the community and did all kinds of stuff. I was the photographer for the day. So no selfie from me today. I turned the camera around instead.

I put them on a different flickr. Would love to hear what you guys thought of them though. I'll put a couple on here, but not all 200... tinyurl.com/operationoutreachpics

"I Can Only Imagine" by MercyMe

I can only imagine what it will be like

When I walk by your side

I can only imagine what my eyes will see

When your face is before me

I can only imagine

I can only imagine

Surrounded by your glory

What will my heart feel?

Will I dance for you Jesus,

Or in awe of you be still?

Will I stand in your presence,

Or to my knees will I fall?

Will I sing Halelluja,

Will I be able to speak at all?

I can only imagine

I can only imagine

I can only imagine when that day comes

And I find myself standing in the Son

I can only imagine when all I will do

Is forever, forever worship you

I can only imagine

I can only imagine

Surrounded by your glory,

What will my heart feel?

Will I dance for you Jesus,

Or in awe of you be still?

Will I stand in your presence,

Or to my knees will I fall?

Will I sing Halelluja,

Will I be able to speak at all?

I can only imagine, yeah

I can only imagine

I can only imagine, yeah, yeah, yeah

Surrounded by your glory,

What will my heart feel?

Will I dance for you Jesus,

Or in awe of you be still?

Will I stand in your presence,

Or to my knees will I fall?

Will I sing Halelluja,

Will I be able to speak at all?

I can only imagine, yeah

I can only imagine, yeah, yeah

I can only imagine, Yeah

I can only imagine

I can only imagine, Ohh yeah

I can only imagine

I can only imagine when all I will do

is forever, forever worship you

Haven't busted out the private collection of gear yet. Just playing with this scarf for now. ;-)

Hahahah don't I look so awake. I think I live in this Gap sweater now - best purchase ever.

Having breakfast by the Jersey shore today :)

a little bit of sun.. just after the rain.

explored. yay. thanks to you all!

I know I said I didn't really wanna be a person to do milestones in this project but 100 days of year three is pretty fantastic, if I be egoistic about it.

But more it is just awesome to look at the ladder I climbed to get where I am, the steps I took, the near falls but it has all came to help me even if the time was rough. I really wanted to set this ladder up and climb it but it was broken. So I just reflect on where I came from. Also the progress and the strength to keep climbing to do what I wanna do.

Day 101/365: 2015

The weekly theme is giving the mundane it's beautiful due.

Also # 11 for April 2015: A month in 30 pictures

This is an abstract using some long handled green plastic spoons that I brought home from holiday last year. We found a place that served delicious frozen yoghurt with fresh fruit and these were the spoons that came with it. My husband thought I was mad when I wanted to bring them home but I knew they would be handy for a photo at some point. I was right, this is the second time I've used them.

EXPLORED FRONT PAGE :]

Woops just deleted my description. No idea what I originally put, but never mind.

On a random side note - #1 Why does Timberland make such weird faces in his videos? I know I hate posing, but dude, come on you're in control of the video, you can see what you look like!

- #2 Im not really a fan of Rihanna or her new song - Rude Boy - but I saw the video for it and I quite liked the style of the video.

- #3 Im pretty much addicted to flickr

Day 101 - 1up... or down

Got to pay attention when picking mushrooms... be careful if they are red and got teeth you got to jump on top of them or use a fireflower!

I'm a bit behind on commenting and getting back to you on the last pictures posted, I promise I'll do that tomorrow. I got to stop thanking everybody personal though, that just takes up so much time that I would rather like to spend looking at your pictures and leaving comments there. I hope that is ok with everybody, but I still enjoy every comment and read them all!

If there are any questions though, feel free to post them or message me, I will always reply to those as soon as possible and hope to help out :o)

... this photo is brought to you by the Letter - L - press it and enjoy!

Day 101 2015

The three bridges over the river Conwy taken from a castle turret (Iphone 5 panorama)

On the Right

Robert Stephenson’s wrought iron tubular Railway bridge

Robert Stephenson’s Railway Bridge was completed in 1848 and officially opened in 1849. This was the first tubular bridge to be built, and thus the design first went through a large prototype stage to make sure that the bridge would be supported. Through the success of this bridge Robert Stephenson went on to build the Britannia Railway Bridge over the Menai strait which was a lot larger than Conwy’s. The current bridge has been reinforced with more pillars under the water; otherwise the bridge is unmodified since it was built. Since the Britannia Bridge was burned down during a fire, therefore to this day the Conwy Railway Bridge remains to be Robert’s only existing work.

in the Centre.

Thomas Telford’s Suspension Bridge Thomas Telford’s Suspension Bridge was completed in 1826, and was one of the first road suspension bridges in the world; the bridge replaced the ferry, which before the construction of the bridge was the only way of crossing the river. Telford built the Bridge’s supporting towers to match the castle’s turrets with a stone-brick style. The Bridge is actually built into the rock in which the castle stands upon. And is very close to the castle and part of the castle was even had to be demolished so the bridge’s cables could be put into place upon the rock. The bridge is actually quite small (spanning only 2½ metres in width)

For April's Monthly Scavenger Hunt.

I found some cocktail umbrellas when I was sorting through some boxes the other day and decided I wanted to take a photo of one on the beach. Just as I was about to take the first shot, a gust of wind blew it right into the sea. I went running after it... Nope, gone! Then some kids started throwing sand around so I thought I better get the camera out of range. As I hadn't thought to bring a spare brolly, I was wandering around taking random beach shots when my rather soggy red brolly got washed ashore. Hoorah!

A year ago today everything was grey.

lovely sunny day today, and everyone was enjoying it

Spring seems to have arrived in earnest, so we went for an outing to nearby Box Hill. A picnic, a walk and some opportunities for self portraiture; a fine day all round.

Thanks to Cei you can see me setting up the shot here, and see the timer ticking down here.

Look what's appeared whilst I wasn't looking :) This is sooc, in my garden. The amount of weeds is apalling, sigh.. I surely have my work cut out for me once the weather gets a bit better and it dries out a bit in there. Happy Sunday, everyone.

Standing still yet moving very fast..

I was inspired by this photo and wanted to create something similar. Of course, I don't have an airport nearby so all I could find was the local shopping mall (Överby) which has a rolling walkway.

I was very prepared for this shot, this is the third attempt (the first two ones was done a different day). I used a ND8-filter to get a longer exposure time in spite of the daylight. Settings was f/22 and 8 sec. I zoomed in just a little bit to get rid of the black corners that comes with the stepring I use for filters on my 18-50 lens. I also used manual focusing and a timer (10 sec).

I'm happy with this. Maybe I'll try it again with a longer exposure time, or maybe I won't.

Edit: Explored Apr 10, 2012 #310.

While I would love to take full credit for the idea of this photo it was actually inspired by a photo by Jared DeSimio seen in issue 7 of JPG magazine. I recently subscribed to the magazine and I got my first issue in the mail yesterday. It's pretty cool magazine that showcases photos and gives tips on how to take better pictures. I know several people from the 365 Days group have already submitted photos in hopes of getting published. Check it out if you haven't already done so. Nicole Bruni has a photo in issue 7 as well.

It looks like Bunny has some plans that I wasn't aware of... Hmm... Well, Greyhounds ARE good singers, they roo as opposed to barking most of the time. I guess it's just another talent she's blessed with that I didn't know about.

I really wanted to play around and try to make it look like something a little more stylized this time, but it's not something I usually have time for. It was definitely fun to play around with, though!

You can read more about Bunny at TalesAndTails.com.

101/365 -Around the house - Day 101

-------------------------------------------------------

Last week my husband decided to cut down the Columnar Beech because it was too close to the house and already 55 feet high. The wood will eventually make it's way to the wood stove this coming winter. The logs, shown here, are cut and ready for splitting. I'll miss the tree but now there will be more sun for flowers and my little vegetable garden.

The next two weeks are going to be really challenging for me.... I'll consider myself lucky if I can keep the 365 going.. I'll try my best.

These little blue flowers have been blooming in my yard for the past couple of years now... don't know how they got there, but they're really pretty.. they grow alongside the few crocus plants in a corner. They stay in bloom for only 3-4 days and then are gone until the following year..

Q showing off his adorable black bow tie. :)

Whew! Caught up on my 365 project - now to catch up on visiting your photos!! :)

Things are looking up, it was actually light enough to go for a quick walk after work today! Thank you all for your kind words on my 100th photo, it really made my day. Though I'm a bit miffed that the heart texture photo got into Explore instead. Stupid donkey!

A last minute hike up Bishop's Peak let me get to my favorite spot just in time to catch the glow of the sun just after it set over the incoming fog bank. Plus the pleasant surprise of a nearly full moon to light the way back down.
