New as YC53 MXY as a Volvo B7TL Wright Eclipse Gemini 1, LY02 ZAP was later refurbished with engine mods and a Gemini 2 frontage whilst then allocated the registration of X10 VTD. Now it has been repainted into the new corporate style of livery for the Transdev Blazefield group and branded for the brand new CityZap route which runs non-stop from York College to Leeds city centre. On Boxing Day however this bus has been given a different assignment to usual and so has been the most interesting spot of the day... at York The Stonebow it is working the Yorkshire Coastliner 843 route from Leeds to York Stonebow which for today only is being run from the York depot. In a recent refresh of the blind list, the 843 workings were removed from the database on Mobitech systems (only those with Hanover displays fitted still have them on) and so the drivers had to improvise - in this case the Little Explorers route 23 board was used, probably because it has a number '3' and a York destination without the 'fast' adjective only assigned to Tadfaster or Cityzap services which if used would have confused passengers at Leeds who may have thought this wasn't calling at Seacroft or Tadcaster. This was definately worth a few photos just for the destination alone, as the chances of this bus being used on the actual 22/23 route is practically zero.
A lovely Collage for the Database of my Iplehouse YID Freezia Twins named Amber (Freezia, left) & Violet (Gentle Freezia, right), but I'm a little disapointed with this shots since they didn't become as I had wanted them. But oh well, I'm still practising. ^^;;;

Photography information: All of the images in this database were captured with the Macropod.
The Macropod is a rigid, portable photomacrography system, which allows the user to make razor sharp, fully focused photographs of small sized specimens at 18 to 26-megapixel resolution. It overcomes the extreme Depth of Field (DOF) limitations inherent in optics designed to image smaller specimens. Normally, lenses designed for macro will only render a very small fraction of the depth of targeted specimen in sharp focus at any one exposure. The Macropod allows the user to select and make multiple exposures in precise increments along the Z-axis (depth) such that each exposure’s area of sharp focus overlaps with the previous and next exposure. These source images are then transferred to a computer and merged by an image-stacking program. Zerene Stacker is used to find and stitch together only the focused pixels from each exposure into one image. The Macropod integrates industry-leading components in a novel and elegant way to achieve these results.
