Lots of XMs with nice or / and rare interior were there, and here, finally, my favorite one: A 1989 Citroën XM V6 with a very rare blue interior at EuroCitro 2014, Le Mans (France)! One of the best XM models in my opinion, even with a very nice matching blue body colour, and as it's one of the very first XMs (this one was made on the 9.9.1989), and a V6 with manual transmission, here are other reasons why I love it.
Until that day, I'd never have guessed that XMs with blue interiors existed. A friend of mine who usually knows every detail about XMs and other Citroën models also discovered it together with me and we were both very surprised!

The lowest model "Séduction" is missing here, so is this blue interior. I've no idea if "Nord-Ouest" also existed in blue, because, as you can see, 2 Velours existed in gray and brown, so why not both of them in blue too, as at least one of them, "Havane", apparently exists in blue (in this particular XM)?
Brown is also rare, and existed together with the following body colours: Beige Tanis (not so common, looks like sand), Brun Castor (dark brown, quite rare) and Vert Amandier (a quite rare and very nice light green colour). Light green XMs in Vert Amandier with brown interior are extremely rare! I know that one which was bought like this when it was new exists in Switzerland.

The owner was very nice and let me take some pictures of the interior. He also said that he knows at least one identical XM with the same interior.
Often considered the last great Triumph, and definitely the last great TR, the TR6 was the final Triumph TR to adopt the Karmann styling that had defined a generation of motorcars, being killed off by British Leyland's attempt at modern style (which failed miserably).
The bodywork closely resembled that of the previous model, the Triumph TR5, but the front and back ends were squared off, reportedly based on a consultancy contract involving Karmann. This is referred to as a Kamm tail, which was very common during 1970s era of cars and a feature on most Triumphs. The body shape was similar to the TR4/TR5 except for the rear and front.
All TR6 sports cars featured inline six-cylinder engines. For the US market the engine was carburetted, as had been the US-only TR250 engine. Like the TR5, the TR6 was fuel-injected for other world markets including the United Kingdom, hence the TR6PI (petrol-injection) designation. The Lucas mechanical fuel injection system helped the home-market TR6 produce 150hp at model introduction. Later the non-US TR6 variant was detuned to 125hp in order for it to be easier to drive, while the US variant continued to be carburetted with a mere 104hp. The UK version TR6PI could accelerate from 0 to 60 in 8.2 seconds and had a top speed of 120 mph according to Autocar magazine.
TR6 construction was fundamentally old-fashioned: the body was bolted onto a frame instead of the two being integrated into a unibody structure; the TR6 dashboard was wooden (plywood with veneer). Other factory options included a rear anti-roll bar and a limited slip differential.
The TR6 is often considered British Leyland's best achievement, however the reliability and quality issues that the company was infamous for. Poor hand-brakes, rust issues and overheating were just some of the problems that laboured the poor TR6. Much like the Triumph Stag though, the car's problems have largely been overcome by enthusiasts, of which there are many.
The TR6 was built between 1968 and 1976, and would go on to be the best selling TR ever sold with 94,600 cars built, surpassed by the car's successor, the TR7. As of 2011 there were approximately 2723 licensed and 1320 SORN TR6s registered with the DVLA in the UK.
It was amazingly cold this morning.
So cold that the water in my car's radiator froze (despite being correctly anti-freezed) and caused it to leak. I didn't know, and so headed off to work as normal, water temp rocketed and I had no choice but to pull over after about a mile and call my Dad to bail me out.
Got to work an hour late, and will be car-less for a while.
I've got to go in an hour early tomorrow to make up for the time lost.

Parts of the Disney movie "Flipped", to be released next year, are being filmed in my hometown of Manchester, Michigan. Rob Reiner is the director.
This Plymouth Fury was parked on Main Street where it played a visual role in filming portions of the movie that are set in the year 1963.
