Airborne Artillerymen assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division Artillery conduct a Division Artillery Readiness Test on Fort Bragg N.C., March 2, 2016. The DART tests the battery in support of Global Response Battalion 1 on the their ability to conduct standard and non-standard fire missions such as the out of traverse, and emergency fire missions both day at night under stressful situations to ensure they can support any mission for GRB-1 within 18 hours of notification. I took this picture for fun. What do you think about it. I thought it should be more centered. Give me your opinion.
The much heralded storm this morning didn't amount to much and I braved the occasional light showers later in the day and went for a walk on Tealham Moor on the Levels. Difficult photography as it was a bit breezy but I saw a few Common Darters.
I didn't get the focus very well on this one but I like the wing details.
The River Dart shot from the bridge immediatly below Buckfastleigh as the the light fades I got my favourite 50mm Nikon Lens on my D300 and sat it all on a tripod.
There was no wind to unsharpen the trees, but I was surprised by the detail retained in the water. I did lock up the mirror which may have assisted.
I warmed up the colours in Elements 10 because - even though it was shot in raw it looked very cold as if it was shot under tungsten light not late afternoon light.
