Canon EF 100mm/f2 + Viltrox EF-M2

Random photo of one of the band with a bit of experimental processing. Converted the RAW file to B&W in Darktable with an overlay to make it high conrast then added the jpeg from the camera to give it colour using a hard light layer in Gimp. Then added the crossprocess look

Salvaging of photos where exposure is way too long or focus is wrong. Solution artistic processing in #gimp workhorse is #gmic and there was also #darktable

My first little planet and somewhere, in there is my 10000 picture as well. I have decided to name it after a German lady I met while I was in the process of creating this planet. Dedicated to the people, we cherish most in our lives.

Viktoria was a distraction at the zenith of my concentration but a very good one :). After she had left, I re-checked the settings before resuming the process where it had stopped. To my horror, I discovered that I had been taking pictures with Aperture Priority :| (for a normal panorama it wouldn't have been a problem, but for hdr panorama it is). If she hadn't come, I would not have noticed it and would have taken all of the 118 pictures with variable exposure. Thank you Viktoria for stopping by and rescuing this. Its a small world and we shall meet again.

There are still some flaws. First, its not an hdr panorama (only 35 photos used, hdr version would have to wait). Its a mixture of normal and under exposed pictures. Sun was a pain all along and with the day being partly cloudy was perfect for the photographing landscapes but sun's appearance and disappearance have caused quite a havoc for the exposure. Second, I didn't shoot the ground I was standing upon. I was too hungry that I simply forgot to shoot it. The center part is gimped/photoshopped. Could have been better but I only wanted to remove the black hole so didn't spend too much time on it. Some corners are also cloned.

I do not have a fish-eye lens or a panorama head. It was taken using a very cheap tripod and 18-105 mm kit lens.

ENGLISH

"Rodachrome S" and "Rodachrome D" are two styles for the software Darktable. The purpose is to reproduce the patterns of colors and contrasts of the nostalgic analog films.

"Rodachrome S" generates smooth images with very low contrast, while the "Rodachrome D" generates dense images with higher contrast.

HOW TO USE:

- First you process the photo only with the modules of the "basic group" (like base curve, exposition and WB) and then apply one of the two styles.

- Play around with the settings of the module "colour correction" to adjust the base tone and the saturation (keep it bellow the 90% for best results).

- You can turn on the module "grain" to add a bit of noise (pre programmed to ISO600).

- You can turn on the module "levels" and apply the "auto" feature for best results.
