While I hadn't planned it this way I am OK with this shot from the shadow side of the train. I had hoped to make it across the track here however the train was closer than I expected so I opted to stay on the shadow side of the train. About 10 miles south of Nenana the sun dipped below the clouds and provided some intense illumination for a few minutes before the clouds again resumed control. Fortunately as I continued south the clouds cleared up a bit.

The Split that is upstream from the main chamber of the ANZAC storm water drain. Next time we will have to venture up the tunnel on the left side to see where it leads. The right side tunnel is very low and you would have to crawl through it..no thanks!

With Union Pacific 4034 on the point, the graffitied nose of an SD70M turns into the morning sun as at Cable as the Los Angeles bound Intermodal train out of Brooklyn, Oregon goes into the final few twist and turns of the Tehachapi Pass's North Slope. In less than five minutes the train will be blasting through the crest at Summit Switch and the train will begin it's decent into the Mojave Sink.

This is the first shot of a small series of 3.
Here I was standing on a the terrace of a luxury hotel in Hong Kong island, looking at the stunning skyline of TST on Kowloon side. In the old times, citizens of Hong Kong used to call Kowloon "dark side" since all the main buildings and skyscrapers were built on the Hong Kong island while Kowloon remained agricultural land and fishing villages. At night, the building on the island side would light up and brightened the night sky while Kowloon was largely in the dark with less grand buildings.
Needless to say, these old times are gone and nowadays Kowloon is also full of skyscrapers and other landmarks.
