Un conto è una cosa bella, un conto è quando una cosa ti lascia dentro una traccia profonda come quella di un aratro. Sono cose molto più che belle, a volte se ne incontra una sola in una vita intera. Sono identitarie, ti rappresentano, ti riconosci in quelle cose. Sono la tua strada, ma le conservi per momenti unici, brevi passaggi in cui vorresti racchiudere la tua vita e il tuo cuore in una lacrima. Poi l'incanto si perde come un fazzoletto tirato via dal vento, ma tu vai avanti più forte, più vivo, più vero. Sono i momenti in cui sapresti dire chi sei.

One thing is a beautiful thing, one thing is when something leaves in you a track as deep as a plow. These things are much more than beautiful, sometimes you encounter only one in a lifetime. They make your identity, they represent you, you recognize yourself in those things. They are your way, but you keep them for special moments, brief passages in which you would like to enclose your life and your heart into a tear. Then the charm is lost like a handkerchief pulled away by the wind, but you go ahead stronger, more alive, more real. These are the times when you could say who you are.

noreen called me today riding on her bike home from work and said, you know that song you sing, the first song you ever played for me, that one man sings, about beautiful things? and i laughed and said, yeah, that description fits every song i cover by anyone else, and she smiles and i can hear it beaming over the phone and she says, no, the one about the airplanes and the ghosts and things? and i say, yes, the aeroplane over the sea. and she says, yes! that is it! i heard it today for the first time, my friend at work played it in the back room on the cd player. i said, yes, isn't it beautiful? she laughs and says, i like it when you play it better, you're really really good at playing that song.
okay, i'm all okay with compliments and flattery, but that is just obscene and frankly, unacceptable. time to make a mixtape.
I like the dark clouds and the last sunlight of the day so much in this picture. I took my camera and at once all the people stand before it :).
went outside one night and tried to take some photos..
the moon lid everything up, there was a pinch of snow and it was so beautiful.
this made me a happy kid...it's hard to see but there is a darkcloud there too...this was in my old lil world of central square, in cambridge.

Storms were to develop early afternoon but the dry line stalled. Late afternoon into mid evening the dry line pushed just to the west of our location.
With unusually humid conditions for this time of year in South Central Nebraska, this produced the perfect conditions for supercells to develop just to the southwest & west of Kearney Nebraska.
Rarely do we get to see the full development from nothing to a full fledged supercell and this one had fast development resulting in some of my best storm photography for 2012

Ho dimenticato una porta chiusa. Era lì perché non la apriva mai nessuno, serviva solo per riempire un vuoto. Ce ne sono tante di porte che non servono per essere aperte, ma solo per restare chiuse. E ogni tanto se ne incontra qualcuna. Sono cariche di tutte le intenzioni trattenute, lasciate ad asciugare al sole dell'indifferenza, spese male o non spese affatto. E poi quando sei pronto ad abbassare quella maniglia non hai più con te una ragione per farlo.

I forgot a closed door. It was there because nobody ever used to open it, it only served to fill a void. There are a lot of ports that don't serve to be opened, but only to remain closed. And sometimes you meet some of them. They are full with every withheld intention, left to dry in the sun of indifference, spent badly or not spent at all. And then when you're ready to lower the handle you no longer have with you a reason to do it.

La verità mi ha insegnato la parola, ha posto sulla mia bocca il senso profondo di ogni cosa, ha scavato con l'aratro nella terra della mia insicurezza. Prima che si compisse la verità nella mia vita, molte cose non avevano senso ai miei occhi e il mio parlare era debole e insicuro. Ognuno di noi deve sperare, cercare, lottare per incontrare la verità. E portarla poi nel cuore per tutta la vita.

The truth taught me the word, put on my mouth the deeper meaning of everything, it dug with the plow into the earth of my insecurity. Prior to accomplish the truth in my life, many things did not make sense to my eyes and my speaking was weak and insecure. Each of us must hope for, seek, strive to meet the truth. And then take it in the heart for a lifetime.
