Apologies for the overload of Trevose Head Lighthouse photos but whilst I was walking around the headland I hurt me bleddy knee. At the moment I aint going know where for a few days.

de zuidelijke kant, en Zierikzee en Bruinisse
aan de noordelijke kant.
De brug maakt deel uit van de provinciale weg N256.

I Seriously, wasn't going to go out this night... Had a weeks worth of hell, and I really just wanted to do was get off work and go home. I was tired, I was cranky, it was the first weekend I've had off in a Month...
As soon as I pulled into the driveway @home, I could hear the weather radio going off and my storm capturing sensation came over me. Listening to the bullitins coming over the radio and I Freaked!. The storms were closer than I had thought. NWS just put warnings for Northern Buffalo County for super fast development of strong to potentially super severe, with large hail, and possible Tornadoes.
Photography Chance of a lifetime... Even though someone could cast me as a member of the Walking Dead....I was a trooper and I didn't wimp out! Luckily I had the my camera on the charger... Grabbed all my equipment & I hauled A** North... 20 mins later I found myself in the perfect spot, under the perfect conditions!
Cresting over northern Buffalo County, ready to cross between Pleasanton & Ravenna Nebraska, this cell was rapidly building and already had tornado warning on it. Incredible CG lightning in front of the storm cell was just to good to capture, with lighting firing off every few seconds.

I thought…why display a good image with such a dramatic sky in colour only? The rain and hailstones came soon after. Taken on a 7 mile recce club walk in mixed weather conditions.
Taken from out side the Hoota Caves at Oman, the site was beautiful with rays of light falling on the village near by. Dark clouds added the drama. The rocky field was hard to walk on with all the equipment I had on my back, but how can you stop and not capture the moment when you see such view created by mother nature!

We had to pack up and move south via Hwy 283 South then Head due east of Hwy 89. This route takes us though Beaver City, Orleans, and eventually just north of Alma Nebraska.
First Stop Beaver City just for a few mins. This is where the storm intensified and we had a well defined Meso on this storm with all the extras.
We were still a few miles ahead of this beast and safe. Plenty of time to stop and have a picnic.... A well 4 course meal of Storm Photography!

Lost the last light of the day... Slide back into the city limits to have the city lights paint the sky. Best way to get the low level light to work for me!
Sporadic cloud to ground lightning. More so the cloud to cloud lightning was illuminating this shelf cloud & underbelly of this storm. It was a fast mover so not many but a few gems to close out this night.

These are truly My Best Lightning Captures to date!
An epic night of sunset light and storm light @ twilight. Its almost every storm chasers dreams... or at least, in my own opinion, to get along side of a storm like this, as its firing away some incredible CC & CG every few seconds. What more could you ask for...
I was that Lucky Gut that evening. Just mother nature and I. Close to home after a few long storm chasing jaunts is just fine by me. She was producing and I was capturing every incredible second of this storm.. No Forking Bolt went away that evening without me getting a snap of its presence.. lol

On a mostly stormy afternoon, a small pocket of sunshine lights up Montana Rail Link’s Bozeman turn on the curve along the Yellowstone River leaving Columbus, Montana. MRL SD45 No. 355 and SD40-2XR No. 252 power the westbound local on July 2, 2019.
Meijer Gardens, one of the top-rated gardens of North America, does it all. There are multiple conservatories representing different environments, sculpture gardens, children's gardens, Japanese gardens, concert venue, and butterfly garden, and other specialties.
The sculpture in the foreground, "Warts and All", is by British artist Peter Randall-Page.

One of the down sides to night photography is the risk to personal safety. For most of us, there is a certain element of risk heading to an unfamiliar area after dark, often carrying significantly expensive camera equipment. This photo for me was a bit of a wake up call as to the nasty side of humanity.
I arrived on location during the late afternoon, happily capturing plenty of shots hoping for a spectacular sunset - which never eventuated. It was cold and wet and when the sun set, the light disappeared quickly into darkness. Having been on location for a couple of hours, I felt more than comfortable with my surroundings.
It was during this long exposure shot that I had a rude awakening. I was approached by an older gentleman who inquisitively asked what I was doing. No big deal, it happens regularly. He asked a couple of innocent questions about the subject matter for my photo. The conversation soon turned nasty when he began abusing me for my “boring” choice of subject matter. He told me I was wasting my time and that people are only interested in photos of people. He became highly aggressive, even urging other passers-by to join him in his argument. Fortunately, his rant caught the attention of a couple out walking their dog who came to render some me assistance and convinced him it was time to move on.
It’s sad that people like this can ruin your day and stop you from doing what you love.
The moral of my story, be aware of your surroundings, not just whatever you’re photographing, and preferably do it with a friend - particularly if you’re out after dark.

Yellowstone National Park

Winter wonderland in Yellowstone National Park. In some areas of Florida there are three types of pine trees, but we have no snow. This landscape image has snow-covered trees in the front, and the tree covered mountains peeking through in the background. It was a day when it snowed so the sky was dark.
I went to Yellowstone National Park for five days, photographing the land and wild animals there. The last two days in the park, it snowed. The temperatures during the day were in the lower to mid-30s and lower to mid-teens at night.
We spent four days in the park, each one about 8 hours long, up at sunrise and returning to West Yellowstone, the town, at night. Our mode of transportation within the park was by snow coach. Stepping off the main roads could cause one to sink in the snow up to three feet, which I did about three times during the trip.
Saint Basil the Great is a small church with a unique mixture of architectural styles. The golden dome and cross reflect the church's denomination, Byzantine Catholic. The rest of the building is very modern and non-descript, probably because of convenience and lower expense.
Because its setting is surrounded on three sides by a public park, the church seems to be tucked into a forest, which frames its appearance very nicely.
Were on our way to Engelberg from Mount Titlis when the sun decided to show it's face and I was lucky enough to capture this magnificent scene.

Looking to get to the best position for this incoming shelf cloud! Moved again to get the best advantage for my captures. Now east side of Kearney on some new roads still under construction, no traffic and all open sky that I want.
This storm cell eventually developed into a monster with quarter sized hail and 60+mph wind speeds. This was a terrific photographic beast. A dangerous but a fruitful basket of storm chasing eye candy!

Had to find a better place due to where the storm was coming in from. I had reposition myself right next to the High School football field. Long extended ditch that has a small roadway. Couldn't have asked for a better open sky than this.
This storm was moving rather slowly about 10 mph to the due north almost northwest. Outflow dominate, simply meaning this nice outflow. A shelf cloud on the outer rim of this storm as it approached. B E A U T I F U L!

Ignore all the scratches and artefacts. Qualitative this photo is rather bad but it was taken through a very scratched plastic window.

Eqi Glacier, Greenland
The glacier front is about 3 km, and the average height from the sea bed to the top is approximately 180 meters . It is not as large as Sermeq Kujalleq in the Icefjord, but it is more accessible, and you get closer.
