This is a painting of a metal piece. It was really old and rusty as you can see the colours on the metal. I took the photos of this machine and then painted using acrylic paint. I also did a sponge techniuqe by using a sponge and dipped it into acrylic paints and dapped on to where i want layeres of textures to form.

This series of resin pendants were inspired by a sheet of reproductions of vintage matchbook cover art. I thought it would be really cute to pair the matchbooks with actual matches and embed them into resin

They are made from brass with Ice Resin and various found objects, brass components, bits of paper, match sticks, and glass beads. The resin is crystal clear, and very reflective, and amplifies the collage inside the brass pendant with amazing detail. Unfortunately, they are so reflective, they are a bit hard for me to photograph, but I love each one dearly!

This pendant was made from a raw brass frame pendant, which was heated with flame to give it interesting coloration. Some of the pendants in this series were also hand domed with a hammer and dapping block. The pendant was then carefully filled with the paper and found object bits and covered with a water-like layer of crystal clear resin.

The Smart Citizens Workshop was a blend of sensor technology, digital fabrication, data analysis and environmental activism, bringing together a group of able and motivated participants, being taught by top-notch maker gurus from Waag Society, data-visualization experts of FGV_DAPP, and with access to the IED Labs and the Olabi Fablab.

Reminiscent of Grandma's candy dish, this is a part of the Lotea series, incorporating moments of time and nature.

My Grandma had these old fashioned candy dishes with awful tongue splitting candy in them. Candy that tasted like toothpaste and oranges.

The candy dish is sterling silver and was punch cut by me, and domed by hand with my dapping block. The flower is fine silver and I made it as a replica of the original vintage design.

The dish is one inch, and the flower is a little under 1/2 of an inch wide. It comes on a 16 inch chain.

There are two half loop bails on the back upper portion of the pendant, that are invisible (hidden), so when hanging from a chain the bails can not be seen.

my tools are literally rusting overnight in this tropical climate. i had to coat my dapping set in 'tool magic'.

This bracelet was created by {me} in my home studio from start to finish. My daughter actually inspired me to put this together. While pretending to count the money in her piggy bank, she asked me if I could use her coins to make jewelry.

I used 4 quarters to put this bracelet together. I domed each coin using a dapping block and then drilled holes in each one and connected them with handmade copper rings. The clasp is hand forged from copper wire. The quarters are from West Virginia, Montana and Wyoming. Each one has been polished.

Sterling Silver & Copper

The copper is a piece of scrap I found in my classroom, I just cut a disc from it and dapped it.
