Lace up spats on the streets of Soho. The septuagenarian wearing them was equally dapper so I do have a few portraits of him for my Photostream;-))
Now that hunters have retreated to their loathsome lairs, wintering sea ducks are free to return to the coastal inlets of North America without fear of being shot from the sky. The numbers of birds that seem to do so has, unfortunately, diminished over time. These Long-tailed ducks come in for a landing. They fly farther into the inlet and fish for underwater crustaceans along the rock jetty. When the currents carry them out of the inlet they fly back in again. Adorned in their winter drab, these beautiful birds are, perhaps, more beautiful in non-breeding plumage than they are later in spring in their breeding plumage in the arctic. Although most birds have winter feathers that are dull or drab compared to breeding plumage, it seems that for Long-tailed duck, drab is dapper! #LongTailedDucks
I stopped this dapper young man on Morehead St. near Carnegie Mellon University and asked to take his portrait. Since he is a theater major he was more than happy to accommodate me on my portrait journey. Two days later I ran into him again on the CMU campus.

Another shot of Hudson on the beach, this time lookin all dapper and whatnot with the tie. He's gonna break some hearts one day.
Advantages of shooting toddlers:
-Cute
-Editing is easy
-More satisfaction with the final product since you put in blood, sweat, and tears to get one photo of them looking in your direction.
Disadvantages of shooting toddlers:
-They do nothing you say.
-They're unpredictable.
-They're constantly moving. It's like shooting a tornado on a treadmill.
-Any pose you have in mind, you're not going to get it.
-You're constantly improvising.
-If you're manual focusing, you might get one focused shot for every 10 blurred shots.
-They have to be bribed to look in the direction of the camera, IF that.
With all that said, I love photographing toddlers. It's an awesome challenge.

Of course sweet Minnie came to Dapper day with us but we didn't get a lot of pictures. We had to rush into the park to meet up with family. But you can see she added the touch of Red like in our outfits :D
Candid Street Photography From Edinburgh, Scotland.
It was the man on the left that caught my eye for this shot but when I looked at the image in post, The guy on the right looks like the actor David Schofield.
The last three times I have gone to see the Barred Owls, I was only able to see one sleep. So, I am back to reality; I don't get to commune with the owls everytime I "want" to.
This is one of the two kids, quite interested in me and the dance I was doing to get closer.
Barred Owls
Barred owls are large owls with round heads and NO ear tufts. They are brownish-gray with brown and white bars across their chest. (That’s why they’re called "barred" owls.) Their legs are covered with feathers. The barred owls’ eyes are dark brown, while most other owls have yellow eyes. Their beaks are sharp, but very small, so they are almost covered up by facial feathers. Owls can see very well at night, but they can also see during the day.
They have a special inner eyelid which blocks bright sunlight - owl sunglasses! Most birds have eyes on their sides of their head. This helps them to see sideways and backwards. Owls, however, have both eyes in the front. This gives them good depth perception (helps them to tell how far away something is). Unfortunately, it means they can’t see sideways or backwards. To deal with this, owls can turn their head ALMOST all the way around. But they can’t spin their head in a full circle; their head would twist off!
