As I often do a few times a week, on this lovely fall morning I was walking around our growing-by-the-day downtown looking for inspiration. I always do street photography with my earbuds in. Listening to Mumford or Miranda in my own little world allows me to not feel quite as "stalkerish" or obvious. This mom and her tutu-clad daughter walked out of a dance studio right in front of me. I quickly pulled out my earbuds and asked the mom if I could photograph them from behind as they walked away. She replied yes so I snapped a few shots. I am going to make some prints and drop them off at the dance studio as a thank you to her.
I made a few pairs of leggings tonight, and Howleen just had to have these. :D
I really like how they turned out, though they're a bit scrunched up cause Howleen is shoort! xD

Tuesday was observation night and they got their costumes for the recital in May. This is her costume for tap. The top has sequined hearts on it.
