Some people have headcanon for certain fandoms. For Monster High, I have dollcanon. I mostly follow canon for thinking of the characters in general, but my own dolls have a world of their own.

This really started when I got my Skull Shores Gil and saw how gorgeous he was. I decided to pair him with Abbey, since the whole mess with Lagoona was getting unresolved in the webisodes and I wasn't satisfied with them as a couple.

So my current dollcanon for the trio is that Abbey and Lagoona both like Gil, but he prefers Abbey, who's a bold, strong girl. My Gil isn't the wuss you see in the webisodes either. He's a much stronger guy. Their dynamic is kind of like the Betty, Archie, Veronica triangle. Lagoona is the desperate, goody goody Betty, while Abbey is the independent, strong girl who does what she wants. Like Veronica, she never really acts like she needs Archie. It seems like it's more about the chase and about getting Gil away from Lagoona. But she does care about him. She just doesn't like to show it.

This is a picture from Marlee's Christmas party in her dance class this afternoon. She had a great time, but the real reason I am posting this picture is because she is sucking her thumb. I have a thumb-sucker...she always tells me she is going to stop, but she just can't help herself. We have decided that the first of 2010, we are going to begin a no-thumb-sucking campaign. The end result will hopefully be a little girl who doesn't suck her thumb anymore and loves her new bike...we shall see!!!:)

Any tips? :)

This is me with Nicole and Gina. Nicole, the redhead in the middle, performed with a sprained ankle and a broken radius, injuries she sustained in dance class. We danced to a group-edited version of DJ Shadow's "Midnight in a Perfect World."

The final position of our most recent combination. The light in there was so terrific today. Now if only I'd taken the time to get the camera's settings correct instead of just firing blind. This was the only decent shot; the quick pace of the combo I think made me spaz out a little.
