I went for some darker colours ~ Kaleidacolor "Fruitcake" on some cream glossy card. I used a Hero Arts Fabric background stamp as I don't have the PB stamp Anne used. I clear embossed and then used a resist technique using a brayer. The sentiment is from Penny Black,

My client sent a picture of a gorgeous printed damask cake by by Ellen Baumwoll, BijouxDoux.com. This cake is inspired by that picture. I did a stencil finish instead of the custom print. The cake is finished in fondant with fondant accents and gumpaste anemone flowers.
Paterns for the damask weving machines. Beautifil weavery with original wooden machines all beautifully colored by time and softned by the hand of man.
Please note that actual fabric colors may be different than they appear on your computer. This is due to the large variation of monitors, video cards, operating systems, and internet browsers and the effects each has on each other.

This Damask airbrushed 5-tier wedding cake was by far the most difficult and long project I have ever done... well, maybe my own wedding cake and the Stanley Cup cake I am doing now could run close second and third but this cake was crazy. I didn't find a stencil to match the invitation exactly so I created one, it was triangular shaped and had to be repeated a couple dozen times to get the exact pattern. AND someone actually copied it! A local baker, as I saw it in a local wedding magazine. I was flattered. Those are real orchids on the top by the way - this was well before I figured out how to make sugar flowers.
This doodley sketch was made for the Sketchbook Challenge and for IA. I'm not too great at symmetry, so that was my biggest challenge!
