Again, a spring scene from my hometown, the blue sky covered with white clouds, the snowy mountains, the plain with every shade of green and the poppies with all their charm... A gift to everyone who misses spring...

This lakelet is located in mid-mountain range same 8 kms from the Turkish province of Bolu. This house is the only one you will find around the lake; it is very well-maintained ad protected and no other houses are allowed on the shores of the lake.

If you happen to come to Turkiye, you have to see this serene place.

I captured this anonymous pass as were about to land at Erzincan airport. I can't locate it on the map; it's unknown to me.

The fire on Wawona Road by the south entrance to Yosemite National Park. This trip was almost cancelled because of the fire. The park was closed but reopened a few days before I arrived. The forest was still smoldering on the road in with a heavy smell of smoke. #WawonaRoad #YosemiteNationalPark #NPS

Snowy mountains.. fog and clouds.. light, colors and shadows..

Karlı dağlar.. sis ve bulutlar.. ışık, renkler ve gölgeler...

Somewhere in Marmara region... My best guess is Kutahya - Bursa area. In that case the lake seen on the left rim might be the Porsuk Dam Lake.

There is a slight glare from the window, which is barely noticable and I haven't tried to remove it anyway.

Cloud over mountains over fog over mountains

Usually I don't like to edit my photos with PS or else except for enhancing contrast on Picassa... This time I had Picassa sharpen the picture. This is the outcome.

FROM ABOARD TK239 DENIZLI-ISTANBUL

I shot the photo from my seat on a flight from Denizli to Istanbul. Four years after this flight, I am somewhat able to locate this place now. The lake seen on the horizon is Lake Burdur, and the river-like bend below is Acigol (Lake Cardak). We are on top of Dazkiri and the plane is heading toward Dinar/Afyon. See my posting of a Google map below.

Dazkiri uzerinden Dinar'a dogru ucuyoruz. Karsida gorunen Burdur golu... Nehir gibi gorunen su kutlesi ise Acigol'un bittigi yer.
