These earrings were created by {me} in my home studio from start to finish. I etched a whimsical floral design into these 1" copper discs. I then formed into dome shapes on a dapping blocked. I added a red fire patina and polished brightly. These are unique and one of a kind.
The Tron Foundation has announced that its TRX token has jumped a position in the cryptocurrency ranking of CoinMarketCap and that it is now the 11th largest token of the market. Sunday- started carving out one of my stumps to sink things in. Specifically, to sink an evil whale hat.
Vintage button sits on a dapped Silver Ox filigree. Looks like a dragonfly has just come in for a landing and made the (button) waters swirl!

Flaman asıllı doktor ve aydın insan Olfert Dapper (1636-1689) klasik yunan ve latin edebiyatını mükemmel derecede bilmekteydi. Amsterdam'da doğmuş, öğrenimini Utrecht'te tamamlamıştı. Ömründe hiç seyahat etmemekle birlikte kendini coğrafya çalışmalarına verir, böylece yapıtlarında geniş bir alana yayılan bilgileri hep kaynakçalara dayandırır. Düzenli ve merkezci çalışma uslubu sayesinde araştırma ekibini örnek sayılabilecek bir biçimde yönetip şaşılacak bir sıklıkla Çin, Asya, Afrika, Amerika, Amsterdam ve doğu Akdeniz adaları hakkında tarih ve coğrafya incelemeleri yayınlar. Bu kitapları yüksek estetik standartlı haritalar ve gravürler süslemektedir.
Sözkonusu yayın Herodotos, Pausanias, Plutarkhos, Ptolemaios, Strabon, Yaşlı Plinius, Apollonios, Hesychios, Pomponius Mela, Solinus, Stephanus Byzantius, Yuhanna Hrisostomos gibi çoğunlukla antik yunan ve latin edebiyatı yazarlarını kaynak olarak kullanmıştır. Bunların dışında portolan (liman) haritaları ve isolario denen ada haritaları (Cr. Buondelmonti, B. Bordone, T. Porcacchi, M. Boschini, V.M. Coronelli), çağdaş gezginlerin tanıklıklarını (P. Belon, G. Sandys, Sieur Du Loir, J. Spon ve G. Wheler v.b.), zamanının doğru haritalarını (J. & C. Blaeu v.b.) ve de Hollandalı tacirlerden aldığı bilgileri kullanır. Bu eser Dapper'in öteki eseri "Archipel"'in tersine başka dillere çevrilmez; nitekim sözkonusu kitabın sadece Osmanlı-Venedik savaşı sırasında (1685-1688) Venediklilerin kazandığı muhteşem zaferleri övmek için yayınlanmış olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Çarpıcı gravürlerden birçoğu V.M. Coronelli'nin yapıtlarından esinlenmiştir. Bu eser ilerideki gezginler için yararlı bir el kitabı ve danışma metni oluşturmuştur.
