Misty Macquarie

Its been a gloomy week in Sydney, plenty of thick high cloud about creating a very eery feel to any scene. The only benefit of this is allowing me to create one of my favorite sort of compositions. That with Long exposure. For this particular image i sat the tripod in shin high water level for a 30 second exposure, causing the water to melt away into a milky haze.

You can get to this particular location by accessing Mrs Macquaries Road in the Royal Botanical Gardens and driving all the way up just before the road veers to the right.

Just be sure that when you get there you don't make the same mistake i did and misread the parking meter signage. $108 fine for parking outside meter times. Was the image worth it? you be the judge :)

Taken rom the John Hancock building , Chicago

Renowned for its lake with a multitude of fountains choreographed to music, the Las Vegas Bellagio lobby ceiling is decorated with 2,000 glass flowers that cover 2,000 square feet. The art was created by Dale Chihuly and certainly adds a splash of color. The hotel/casino was the brain clild of Steve Wynn and opened in October of 1998.

I didn't notice the person sleeping on the left until I looked at the picture at home

For this shot almost wrote off my D800, I slipped and knocked myself and the D800 solidly from the side.

Thankfully the D800 and myself came out fine.

The hillside on the right almost looks like a person sleeping.
