The big male mandrill at Audubon Zoo in New Orleans, Louisiana. He sat there for awhile just staring into the distance. I'm sure he like to be out of his pen.
One of the brown pelicans at Shell Beach, Louisiana. Almost a B&W image although a small amount of color did creep so I just left it that way. :-)

This is one of the jellyfish in B&W.
I went to the "Audubon Aquarium of Americas" in New Orleans
several days ago and spent the afternoon 'trying' to photograph
some of the exhibits. I found it quite challenging as I had
never photographed an aquarium and because of: lighting,
moving animals, reflections on the glass, people constantly
moving around and many other factors but it was an interesting
time and hopefully I got some reasonably fair images. I will
post a few more in the future. :-)

Magnolia manor was built by the Cairo businessman Charles A. Galigher in 1869. It is a 14-room red brick house which features double walls intended to keep out the city's famous dampness with their ten-inch airspaces. Inside the home are many original, 19th-century furnishings. Galigher became a friend of Ulysses S. Grant during the time Grant had command in Cairo. When Grant retired after two terms as president he was subject of a lavish celebration at Magnolia Manor.

A colour version of a previous one. One of my favourite trees which is probably due to the shape of the ground around it as much as anything.
