47 525 is seen here working 1V26 north through Lawrence Hill, on May 10th 1986.

 

She was built at Crewe as D1108, entering service in January 1967. She was renumbered in February 1974, and withdrawn in May 1998. Disposal was by EMR, Kingsbury, in August 2010.

A busy Summer Saturday scene at Bristol Temple Meads, on June 3rd 1989. 47 525 is seen arriving with 1M09, whilst 47 449 is seen leaving beneath Bath Road bridge, working 1V39, following a crew change on the Down Through.

 

47 525 was built at Crewe as D1108, entering service in January 1967. She was renumbered in February 1974. Withdrawn in May 1998, she was cut up at EMR, Kingsbury, in August 2010.

 

47 449 was built at Crewe as D1566, entering service in March 1964. She was renumbered in March 1974. Withdrawn in May 1993, she is now preserved at the Llangollen Railway.

47525 is seen stabled at Saltley in InterCity livery.

47525 is seen at Saltley after being pressed into service half way through a repaint into Railfreight Distribution livery from InterCity livery. Only the cabs had been painted, it would later receive the full livery.

I previously posted a photo of 47525 at Banbury that I had inadvertently inverted - this is the corrected version, with Banbury South signalbox to the left of the train, instead of the opposite!

 

Class 47 no. 47525 departs Banbury (with Banbury South box on the right) with 1O04, the 08.07 Bradford-Poole 11 June 1988,

 

47525 was originally numbered D1108 and was delivered new from Crewe works in January 1967. It was withdrawn from service in May 1998, and was scrapped at EMR in Kingsbury in August 2010.

47525 is seen after being painted into Railfreight Distribution livery.

Class 47 no. 47525 approaches Shrewsbury station with the stock to form the 14.29 to Euston on 23 June 1990. Note the DVT behind the loco. The Class 47 will be exchanged for an electric loco at Wolverhampton.
